See you after Naughty Dog's PS5 game reveal. That's where next-gen starts.
It's true though. Show me a PC or Xbox game that's as good as TLOU2 on a technical level, with the level of attention to detail as that game, with incredibly detailed contextual animations, the sound design, the interactivity & AI routines, facial animations, effects work, physics, and more... I'll post some e.g. as well.

The game is a whole package. And there's nothing akin to that on PC, sadly.
So yeah based on that, next-gen starts when ND reveals their next-gen game. Nothing against Flight Sim, it looks amazing. But a ND game has a lot more going on from a technical standpoint.

Lol a always online game is the game that starts the generation lol...wowNext-gen starts when this releases. Nothing shown on the PS5 and Series X comes close to this visual quality.
Lol a always online game is the game that starts the generation lol...wow
The game needs an internet conncection because it stores a lot of the data in the cloud. You would need like A 10000GB ssd to hold this games data locally. They have recreated the entire planet.Lol a always online game is the game that starts the generation lol...wow
Lol no problem, just shows what you think a game is.....to each their own. I think its just a boring simulator that will eat up your data and make no impact on the gaming world. I need great gameplay....but that my opinion....enjoy the simulator bro....the clouds look fantastic.Yup. Problem?

You think Flight Simulator is a SIMULATOR?Lol no problem, just shows what you think a game is.....to each their own. You think Flight Simulator is a SIMULATOR?
Please, detective, tell me how you arrived at such a groundbreaking conclusion.
Lol yall are so defensive ita crazy lol...i said enjoy, what more do you want? Lol grow up.
Not really. It's not some big Xbox system-seller exclusive. We see how flexible MS has become recently (MS (as in Microsoft) flight simulator?
I assume you are being sarcastic.
It was great. But no, I didn't. The first game when Sarah died choked me up a bit though. You are probably one of those that cried while playing the game.
I was one of those who thought RDR2 looked more impressive before playing TLOU2. But after having spent hundreds of hours in RDR2 on both PS4 and PC. And then playing TLOU2, I can say TLOU2 is still a cut above RDR2 on Ultra. Facial animations alone are in a league of its own in TLOU2.RDR2 open world game way bigger than TLOU2 on PC Ultra says hi.
Any chance of something like coming to Xbox gamepass? I know it's coming to Xbox itself but day 1 gamepass?
All Microsoft published titles will come to GamePass day one.Any chance of something like coming to Xbox gamepass? I know it's coming to Xbox itself but day 1 gamepass?
Looks stunning.
Isn't this for a super niche market overall though?
First thought: "How crashing into shit looks?"
If it's handled like in previous iterations, it'll just stop the simulation, play a generic crashing sound and show "CRASHED" with small letters in the corner of your screen, but no actual fire nor destruction. Can you crash your plane spectacularly? I haven't seen.

Here are just a few examples of the attention to detail in ND's games. The tech.Dude.. just no. I won't even engage in this rhetoric. See ya when TLoU2 comes to PC.
The lighting in this game and the attention to detail is really something else.
Keep out of the 'next gen' thread if i were you. The current rhetoric is Flight Simulator 'doesnt count' as its a flying game. So basically we have to ignore this games graphics and pretend it doesn existDude.. just no. I won't even engage in this rhetoric. See ya when TLoU2 comes to PC.
Because a simulator that has high-quality satellite images of the Earth, real-time weather conditions based on location(as in, look outside and Flight Simulator will reproduce the weather where you are located), streams petabytes of data over the cloud and allows you to travel the globe is less advanced than TLOU2 because it has less contextual animations and doesn't allow you to pick up a bottle. Here are just a few examples of the attention to detail in ND's games. The tech.

And if you dont like football, you wont like Fifa. If you dont like cars, you wont like Forza, if you dont like horror, you wont like horror games, if you dont like puzzles, you wont like puzzle games, etc, etc, etc.The problem with this simulator, is that unless you're a hardcore flight guy, the novelty will wear off quite fast.

Those aren't games. Those are simulators.Better not play GT7 or Forza. All you do is drive around in circles. What dumb fucking games.
Its coming to Xbox one? Also what fidelity are you talking about? Cities look great at a distance and the streaming is very impressive tech, but the moment you get close its another story. You realize that right?
looks amazing... but isnt it boring just fly from a to b to c?
