Dissidia Final Fantasy ARCADE ANNOUNCED! [Update: Trailer + Info]

So looking forward to this. Can't wait to play this in arcades. It'll probably be crazy popular, though, so lines are going to be nuts.

Holy crap, 3 v 3? Imagine if that meant 6 characters on the field at once.

So it's not like the original PSP games? Huh, so they're changing up the battle system, then?

Well that was unexpected to say the least. Really loved the originals and hope this gets released outside arcades eventually.

Where are you seeing this?

There's only one guy saying it, but he is legit at the event.

3v3 team based would be interesting. I've said before that Dissidia's ability selection would be a great basis for an FF action-MOBA, and other Japanese majors -are- unveiling their stabs at that genre at this JAEPO... Hmm.

The 3v3 battles are the real megaton here.

It does look really good based on those images though.

I am usually not the one to port beg or anything like that, but God, I will be so frustrated if they don't release this on consoles later on.

One thing I wonder with arcades on the decline and more and more places struggling do not see how constantly releasing new machines is going to be a good long term business practice for anyone. Esp when current arcades are having enough trouble as is keeping up with the constant changes / latest new game.

Well, I'm expecting a console port a year+ since the arcade release.
Doing it sooner would kill the arcade version until the next big update - happened with Gundam Extreme Versus, Persona etc.

Would be amazing if they pulled a Theatrhythm: Curtain Call & got characters from the spin-off games instead of just main stream, but then again, might get too clustered....

....or they could just do Dissidia: Dragon Quest or Dissidia: Square-Enix & have characters from Chrono Trigger & World Ends with You & Nier & Romancing Saga & more.

Successful games still make loads of money in arcades. I've heard Border Break numbers just for one month and they would be hard to achieve without a f2p system on a console.
