Do women prefer buff guys?

Buff? Nah just physically fitt i think. Really buff gives the impression you're insecure and obsessed i think.
In general that it is.

? I'm bigger than almost everyone I know besides a few pros and I FOR SURE am not insecure. But again I lift because the feeling of the pump is like nothing else.

Now if you have a guy come up to you and the only thing he wants to talk about is how strong / buff he is than ya, brosef is insecure.

I'm really tall, so I rarely get that whole 'picked up thing'.

Husband does it sometimes, but I'm damn near as tall as he is (5'9 vs 5'10) so I worry lol

That's a shame! Tall boys FTW. I'm 5'8" and my ex boyfriend was 6'2" I've grown so accustomed to that sort of situation I don't know how I could adapt to anything else. Still, he doesn't have to be that much taller to be able to overpower you. It's great for when your body says TOO MUCH and pulls back but your mind says MOAR. Your partner then goes ahead and makes that decision for you and drags you back in.

Stop me if I'm going too far. ¬.¬

Yeah you're the Arnold category. Just loving the iron. But in general i think people consider really buff men to be overdoing it. Over compensating for something. Whether it's true or not for that particular person.

It's just what i hear people say. I like the feel of almost getting a feverish feeling because of lifting too ;p.

you, i like you

Sure thing. It's filled with nothing but pics of muscular dudes, cute animals, and tasty food.

Oh the cheekbones thing, someone once told me it's not uncommon to be attracted to traits you have yourself :/ Not sure if that's true or not?

I may not be hot or anything, but I do have some damn good cheekbones.

I'd be jelly of dem cheekbones if I didn't already have some rockin' cheekbones myself. :3

:( I don't have very good cheekbones. They only really become apparent when I'm smiling. I can't do the sexy pout.

Haha. You know, I think my submissive tendencies might be the reason I like big guys overall.

I know what you're talking about though, I love to dominate, it's like things aren't right if I didn't.

You know what though I just noticed that poster posted "obsessed' and that part may well be true. Seriously it takes up a large portion of my life 7 days a week. Is it worth it? Maybe not. I seriously am probably addicted at this point and that user makes a very fair point. At first I focused on the insecure part which not all (But some) heavy lifters have. For sure though its become an addiction.

Yeah i understand. At some point the only thing you see are points to improve. And the feeling is daaamn good. The feeling of pushing iron and going through your pain barrier that is. Sometimes it feels like a nice xtc kinda fever through your body, if you know what i mean (maybe not the best way to describe it).

Exactly! I'll be honest when I first started this stuff I was 135lbs. Hard to believe but its true. I felt small and weak and at first I like many men started lifting for looks / appearance to women. But at some point it really does consume you. You look at the bar / curl and your like fuck this how hard can I go.

My wife preferred the skinnier rocker look but she also understands that for me its about the competition. Its about how far can I push myself. But for sure I understand how to some it could be perceived as an insecurity thing and it DID start that way for me. At this point though its like Arnold was, an addiction.

Eh, I'm more about legs. I wanna wrap myself around a guys legs like a koala bear. I'm probably not dainty enough to do this, but oh well.

Well yes. Obvs. Every guy I've ever been with has had super ticklish legs though. You go in for a touch and it's teeehehehehehe stop and it simultaneously makes me lol and disappoints at the same time. I'm sure your dainty enough to have him carry you around on his back though, which is hella fun. I've probably almost killed my ex on a number of occasions where I'd sneak up from behind and jump on his back. Like while he's at the stove cooking.

sigh

The best part of being in a relationship is all the goofy stupid things you get to do when you're around each other. Feels so good to just unleash the inner dork demons.

RIGHT?!

Its true! We all focus on the physical things but nothing at all beats when you are so comfortable with your significant other you can just be silly and fart and stuff. (Yes GAF I just went there! Come on we all do it.)

That's when I knew that the person I was with was the right choice. Of course I was attracted to her physically when I first met her but once I realized we could nerd out and just do stupid stuff together..............that is something special.

I assume most do, but ultimately I don't really care.

When you start out working out, it very often is to "look good naked and get poontang", but then you start to appreciate the art of lifting for itself, of the dedicated quest to become a finer human specimen and you stop giving a shit about what other people think - all you care about is looking into the mirror and see a God stare back at you.

One of my fondest memories was standing on the opposites sides of the room with our dog in the middle making cave man and woman noises and flailing around. Freaked our dogs shit. If anyone saw us they would have had us committed.

Haha hell yes, that my friend shows that you were in a good moment there. That time where you just are YOU and FUCK what anyone else thinks :-)

You know what GAF do me a favor. If you got someone that is close to you, male, female or what the fuck ever, listen to this and think about your BEST and silliest times together.

And just enjoy life. God damn life is good my friends. Best when sharing it with someone you can GEEK THE HELL out with.

yes, squid bro. yes.

I am more attracted to faces than body types, but I tend to prefer tall and skinny. My SO is like that, a bit lanky and I dig it.

The men I find the most beautiful right now are:

and
r620-0f61b9381a4c158bf771a18e2f1973fd.jpg

The former is sometimes shirtless in Hell on Wheels, and he's pretty buff, though completely hairless. A bit too "clean", not my favourite body type, but, really I couldn't care less. And the latter hasn't removed much clothing in Sleepy Hollow... yet. I'm still hoping. xD Though he's probably sexier with that period coat. >_>

To be fair that is a damn good coat.

Oh god, when Tom Hiddleston did that Comic-Con thing as Loki OH MY GOD.

Haha, yes! I will admit I find this guy incredibly attractive, particularly with dyed hair. I think it's a combination of looks (slender, well-defined cheekbones, dark hair) and charisma - and the actor himself is a genuinely nice person too.

I actually like women with the same features, so they certainly don't have to be exclusive to men.

Everyone is different of course, but lets be real. Guys who are in shape/skinny are more likely to be found attractive then those who are overweight or obese. It is what it is.

Maybe not "buff" but fit or athletic, yes.

Do you honestly expect a women to be physically attracted to you if you have man tits and a meat flap of pure cellulite partially covering your genitals?

Being fit help. A lot. I can only imagine lots of reply here who say it doesnt matter and it is not what woman want are ugly and fat. Sorry.

My GF likes men with a little chubbyness. She finds men who are buffed up and shaved all over unattractive and vomit inducing.

As someone who dropped from 260 pounds and super flabby to 190 and fit, yes. I easily get hit on by over 5x as many women when I am fit as when I am fat. Basically every 10lb I lost, a good 50-100% more women came on to me. I get hit on multiple times a week these days, and when I was a lardass, maybe a couple of times a year.

Some women prefer flabby guys because they feel the guy is less likely to leave them, but that's dysfunctional relationship stuff, not straight attraction.

Don't listen to what people say, observe what they do. And relationship talk is meaningless, it's what people do when they are single and looking that matters.

Noses are weird. Literally when I think of the nose as a thing I just find it weird. It really defines the face but all I can say is I know what I like when I see it.

Hands on the other hand, can get me hot and bothered. Strong, somewhat rough but gentle hands. To me, it all comes down to how your man handles you. So many feels were had by me on account of all the literal feels. I swear some endorphins release when you're cuddled up with your guy and he rubs you with his hands while you lay down next to each other. That's how I used to fall asleep almost every night.

I'm really tall, so I rarely get that whole 'picked up thing'.

Husband does it sometimes, but I'm damn near as tall as he is (5'9 vs 5'10) so I worry lol
I want to do that with my girlfriend sometimes but she always refuses, feels bad (she's 5'8 I'm 6'3)

So you think 95.4% of women have identical preferences in men?

No, but I do think there are trends that can be observed. Most women prefer taller men; most women prefer non-balding men; a disproportionate amount of women prefer white men to men of other races.

I can do the same for men's preferences, by the way, in case you think I'm singling women out. General societal trends exist and can be described.
