It's like an ad I'd expect in GTA, Is it wrong for me to wanna register republican just to vote against this guy in the PA primary? (I've been an indie since the 90's)

Is America a real place?

I've not been for a while. Maybe it stopped being real and its all just pretend now?

My mum (who's British) sighs when Obama is on TV and then I asked her what she thought of Trump.

'He speaks the truth that people want to hear.'

I always thought my mum was sensible and understood that ignorance doesn't breed anything but more ignorance, but if a supposedly rational person can be taken in by this, doesn't it mean that people who are not so rational and have an active (if covert) dislike of foreigners would just vote Trump?

My mate from Philidelphia says he's got 'no chance'.

I'm not so sure. If the environment is conducive to it, anything is possible (including a GAF OT!)

Nope, not watching. I really can't wait for the day this man loses and quits. But he is going to take the nomination isn't he? Why can't he just go away, ugh.

Donald Trump’s ad begins with a shot of President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Then comes a U.S. battleship launching a cruise-missile strike. From there it moves swiftly through an explosive montage: The suspects in the recent California terrorist attack. Shadowy figures racing across the U.S.-Mexico border. Islamic State militants.

The narrator, a deep-voiced man, speaks ominously: “That’s why he’s calling for a temporary shutdown of Muslims entering the United States, until we can figure out what’s going on. He’ll quickly cut the head off ISIS and take their oil. And he’ll stop illegal immigration by building a wall on our southern border that Mexico will pay for.”

The spot closes with the image of Trump thundering at one of his rallies, “We will make America great again!”

this sounds 100% exactly like something GAF would make up as a joke.

Haha.

And what about the current American citizens that don't think America has ever been great in the past? Seems to me like this tagline is potentially excluding a large number of potential voters.

All of those people will be voting for Bernie Sanders anyway.

apparently Trump made fun of a handicapped person a while ago, in front of a large audience no less.. once footage gets out it's all over for him. the Trump is done.

No way this supposed to be a serious add. "until we can figure out what's going on""cut the head of ISIS ..... and take their oil"

This whole campaign is some twisted modern art project.

AND TAKE THEIR OIL!

I have to wonder what would Jon Stewart do with this kind of material.

"Cut the head off Isis and take their oil" is this a fucking joke? People can't seriously be voting for this clown?

When I heard that I was immediately reminded of the description of the BB gun in A Christmas Story: "a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time."

This guy HAS to be taking the piss

That has been my take from the start.

Basically, that he looked at the situation and thought
'Well, Hilary and the dems have this one in the bag, and it's gonna be a boring election. What do I love more than anything? Attention. Here's the perfect chance. Let's run for president and go balls to the wall crazy and see where it takes us. At the very least it'll be the most fun year of my life...'

I'd like a President who knows what's going on, not one who just do stuffs until he figures it out. As for the rest of the ad, this has to be a joke right...
