If this guy somehow becomes president maybe we should help Mexico build that wall and extend it around the rest of the US to help keep his insanity contained.

Its a pretty genius ad when you look at Trumps campaign plan and tactics as a whole. Its simple, blunt, reinforces his perceived leadership quality and straightforwardness with ideas said in a "git er done" way. (nice and vague, etc.) Hes laid a strong ground work for people not even asking "how" he will do anything he plans by reinforcing the perception that he "wins" hes very "successful" and he knows how to get things done if you look at his history (which most people only know via mass media).
With the majority perception is reality (applies to most Gaffers and my self included, its awareness of said fact that's the difference.) and Trump knows exactly how to mold that...

Just look at the number of replies and pages in this thread. Would any ad from Rubio or Jeb even make it past 50 replies? This is why Trump is leading. He knows how to play the media and comfortably stay afloat in the current of daily news. He just ensured this whole week will be about him again.

It's true though that he excels at making sure he is always in the spotlight. As a matter of fact, so far his campaign has been masterful at it. In the end though all it will mean is him being the Republican front runner because everybody else is just tuning in incredulously or to laugh.
It's why he hasn't had to spend a dime on advertising until fairly recently. As big a dickhead as he is, and he is a big one, the man knows how to play the press to get and leverage free media.

Yup. He's tapping into today's "outrage culture" while appealing to the overly patriotic types, focusing on stuff like border protection and the war of terrorism again. Pretty fucking solid strategy. I know, I know. I had two close family friends let loose over the holiday that they are Trump supporters. We had about a 30 minute session that bordered on an argument a lot of the time, but after we still acknowledged that it was ok to disagree. I may not have changed their minds, but i know i gave them something to think about. I think as long as we can make them think, we may crack that armor over time.
The problem is that the media isnt doing this. Instead of focusing on how there is no substance here, no real solutions, and just vague shitty promises, they want to just treat him like a serious contender. Thats why its up to the rest of us to do their fucking job for them, apparently.
