Usually you go Phase Boots because the damage/attack speed from PTs is not that important and you want to be able to move at near-max movement speed (when you go Q/E, you can have that with level 13 or whenever you've maxed Wex). I've seen Arcane Boots as well, most notably Dendi (he usually goes for normal Boots, gets a Force Staff and Blink and then Arcane Boots). His build is interesting because it allows for a ton of quick positioning changes, which are very useful when casting Invoker's AoE skills. It also allows you to initiate, in a way, for example with Blink into Ice Wall, Deafening Blast and Meteor. I think that's more of an advanced build though.. I can't imagine myself using that to its full potential.

This coming from the guy that hyped Shadow Demon as being his favorite hero, then proceeded to get out midded 3 out of 4 games, and lose all those games for his team, go back to your classy Lycan picks.

Still trying to learn some heroes and builds. Are there any hints in the files that Valve is going to include customizable in-game item builds for each character? I know you can modify the recommended builds in-game, but what I'd really like to do is to create multiple builds per character from the main menu that I can swap between in-game on the fly. It'd also be nice to customize our own headings, like instead of "Situational" I could make a sub-heading like "**** Anti-Mage With These".

For example.
 
So, watching Sings stream and someone just gifted him 3 announcers and a whole bunch of items :lol

You can create multiple builds. Click the edit button then click the drop down menu at the top of the rec item list and you can name each build.
 
Sweet. I'm not at my desktop, but I'll look into that later.

Am I also missing a way to do this from the main menu without starting a new empty game with each character I want to edit? That would be awesome.

EDIT:Oooh, and I found a way to deny with right-clicking instead of having to hit A first...

Sounds just like me. Anyone can take a look at my stats and see that I played a little over a year of TF2 and have around 500 hours on it. Used to play it religiously for a bit, then I just couldn't anymore. Too much shitty heavies and terribad pyros just spamming their ammo and hoping to catch you in the line of fire. Then that absurd Pyro flamethrower came out and I couldn't take it anymore.

In Dota 2 I have close to 800 hours and I've played it for like 7 months, so it already over took TF2 in time spent on it without even spending a year on Dota 2 :p

Last time I tried to trade items with someone who didn't have Dota 2 he couldn't give me Dota 2 keys or items because he didn't have the game.
 
Having bought a Juggernaut announcer then joining the mumble channel just shown me a grievous error in my judgement.

No one ever shuts the fuck up in the channel past 10pm. D:

That sucks. Didn't know that, as I have been the one all my friends asked for keys and I already had the game.
 
This game... 3 wins in the last 12 games.

I don't understand why I have people with 5 wins in my game... and why the other side has a cumulative total wins of +500 over my side.

Shits borked on the weekdays.
