not used to seeing Na'Vi get rolled like that.
jesus...
Didn't they get rolled for the first half of the international?

See, if that was a pub game I was playing in we'd be forced to wait through twenty minutes to half an hour of them systematically destroying our racks, occasionally going to Rosh for the lols and generally screwing about

In most pubs if you just say "gg, push" and stop defending usually the opponents will not screw around. Usually.
my time is important to me. I don't want it wasted unnecessarily if a game is clearly out of reach.

You're wasting it regardless just playing dota.
rarely does this happen.
I've seen teams have to sit in a fountain for 5-10 extra minutes because a team wants to take every tower and rax...wants to go rosh...wants to farm that Divine.
Then there's the "spiking the football" that is fountain camping. Shit is lame.

Quicker games means more dota.
I can only imagine how annoying pub games would be with a surrender mechanic.
"First blood"
Oh shit, our mid fed pudge. That's a GG. 4/5 surrender waiting on you.

edit: IMO the lack of a mechanic like that actually forces your team to try harder as there is nothing else to do.
Every game with a surrender makes you wait 15-20 min to use it. There is no way someone, let alone four people could immediately surrender at First BloodI can only imagine how annoying pub games would be with a surrender mechanic.

That's not really my experience in Dota 2.Even still... they'd be waiting for that 15 minute toggle to surrender and attempt to encourage everyone else to give up as well.
The way it is right now you have to try to win no matter what. And sometimes you CAN actually make a comeback. I've been in a lot of games 30+ minutes in where it seems futile but we actually come together as a team, smarten up and push back. That would not happen if we could easily surrender out and try again.
Darksee feed. GG. Please report.

Come back when you win with all barracks down and only 1 middle tower left.-1 for Concede option
I've won a handful of games after losing 1-2 rax. With a lot of people who bitched and moaned how it was GG on my team.

Had the best start with Luna, 8-0 and forced Radiant's Riki off bottom lane with 2 ganks, our Dazzle doing a great job protecting Drow (no deaths)...then it's straight downhill from there.
Played my first Faceless Void game last night. D:
Was worried at first but the other team was typical pub shit and went for a 5-carry strat.
Rapiers are fun.

I don't want a concede option but if Valve did hypothetically add it, it shouldn't be available until there is a set of rax down. Maybe two, because it's still very possible to come back and win even when you've just got set one left...though there are many shitty players who would vote to conced after first blood if they could.
I'm impressed your team could survive that lineup for 52 minutes. Then again, I assume your team pushed towers down pretty fast and made farming hell for them.
Man, I'm still hyped from reading all the Halloween stuff from Cyborgmatt. I missed Mouz/GD today, did they win? I think they did. Saw navi getting whooped by skane/pulse though, damn.
Yeah, GD b team somehow managed to beat Empire. Not to say that the games weren't convincing, just not what I expected at all. Black is pretty good at Pudge.
God, I love when Na'vi picks Puck.
Concede button would ruin it in my opinion. I've had sooo many instances of coming back after our team was calling gg. Ruins any chances of comebacks which are some of the best moments in Dota.
