Ok, in what way does it depend on the enemy team? Like I heard that batrider is a counter to TA, does that mean TA will always get shut down by batrider no matter what?

It's pretty difficult to shut down TA under any circumstances, but it becomes a much more even matchup, so TA can't just steamroll the enemy mid. If the enemy team has any damage over time (Batrider, Veno, Viper), TA becomes less than ideal. If the enemy team has stuns that go through BKB (Warlock, Beastmaster), Enigma becomes less than ideal. DS and Chen are good in nearly every team, which is why you see them be banned out pretty much always in pro games.

no i pooped on lirlond's batrider mid. But on equal grounds, and now that Bat got buffed, Bat will most of the time destroy TA.

Which lane is the suicide lane and why?

Suicide lane is normally a solo long lane. It is called that due to the fact that without any other heroes around to help you (3 on the other side of the map, 1 in mid), you are at high risk of being killed if even trying to get XP.

Which lane is the suicide lane and why?

Top on Radiant, Bottom on Dire. This is because if you look at the map, you'll notice the sidelanes have different distances from the T1 towers to the corner of the map. It will take one side's creeps longer to reach the other tower (assuming no crazy blocks like an Earthshaker), making that side's farm much more dangerous since the other team will be protected by their tower most of the time. The tower attacks anyone that right-click attacks a hero on their team, so it's hard to harass someone under their own tower.

First creep wave, the furthest away from your tower they are, that's the suicide lane, and why? self explained, creeps are the furthest away from your tower and not near your tower which is nice and safe.

That...explains a lot

The creeps do it too, they attack you if you try to right click the enemy hero. Remember though, spells don't proc this, including UAM's like Drow's Frost Arrows, Huskar's Burning Spears, Clinkz's Flaming Arrows. You have to case these manually though, and not on autocast.

You mean his inventory? If you are inside a shop's range (you can tell because the SHOP icon lights up) and you have room in your inventory, any item you buy (provided it's available in said shop) should directly go there.

At 10:27, when Purge buys a tp scroll... how did he send it directly to his stash? If I use the buy item shortcut, I'd have to click grab all, but he does it all in one click it seems. Any idea how he does it?

Sorry for asking such a stupid question, I am horrible with these things.

you are able to bind an item to a hotkey. in this case i believe he binded tp to a key (eg if you press this key, you will buy this item)

I got a good bit of early gold as Venomancer, so I bought my self a bunch of anti-invis stuff for Riki just before he popped 6. Kept paying for its self over and over. Helped that Shadow Fiend got a Shadow Blade also, I must have bought at least 20 Sentry wards, a good bit of dust, and was simply sitting on a Ring of Aquilla, T-boots, a magic wand.

Got over 3k gold from on major team fight, so I just bought a scepter. Had a gem for a bit, but lost it after only about 3 minutes.

Edit: Counted it up, I bought 17 sets of sentry wards, and 3 sets of dust. Plus, other people were buying anti-invis items.

Playing with someone ATM that seems to have a script that tells the team in chat "Rune up in 10s" and "Roshan Respawn in xx:xx" "Roshan has Spawned".

What the shit is this?

So I'm getting a bit better at Dota 2, and can time my last hits and denies better (even managed a tower deny). A silly question though.

At what point is the early game/laning phase deemed to have ended?

There's no set time for it, you can end it whenever you'd like by leaving your lane and fucking the other lanes up.

Am I supposed to max Decay or Soul Rip first with Undying? Also how does Undying have a movespeed of 310 when he's a zombie but Batrider, who rides a giant flying bat, has a 290 movespeed?

Cause fast zombies.

You should max neither. You take one point in decay at lvl 1, then soul rip at 2, then tombstone, one more in soul rip then max out your tombstone, take your ult at 7.

Wonder what happens once someone hits the max BP level. Does the gauge just keep refilling and giving you an item drop every time? What a mystery!

This is probably one of the biggest issues I struggle with in my dota game. I feel that I stay in my lane too long, but I never know when to leave and make things happen somewhere else.

Traditionally, after the first tower falls.

People will still farm the lanes of course, but team fights and tower-taking now become a bigger deal than before that point.

Depends on what hero you're playing and how well you're farming. Generally, if you see people grouping up to take or defend a tower and it's safe to leave your lane (say, your tower isn't in immediate danger), move your ass and help.

Basically, watch the minimap and understand what's going on. Respond accordingly. Don't AFK farm unless you are so underleveled that you can't contribute. Keep a TP scroll so that you don't miss time walking to where the fighting is going down.

If you are Anti-Mage or Faceless Void, you farming phase is not over until late game.

They are very lackbuster in the beginning. I tried to help as Void in a recent game, but my farm was reduced considerably.

Has this folder been there since day one? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\quickstarts\img

Manus + Void is just broken.

Maguns empower Void all game for farming. then when team fight comes:

Magnus empower Void again --> Magnus blink ult --> Void ult --> gg.

Void was critting for 1500 in a 85% cleave with BFury. Just stop it.

Is there a way to turn off ally targeting in Dota 2? For example, Tiny throwing you, allies targeting you with force staff, KotL teleporting you etc.

For any people still inquiring on how to properly play TA, here's a quick game I played last night with CLAN KE$H that shows just how strong TA is in the proper hands.

thx i take donations
What skill build did you go? I was actually spectating EG and they put Disruptor against TA mid. I'm not sure if that was their best choice or they just wanted to do that. He started well but it ended up not so great. The TA went lvl 1 refract, lvl 2 psi blades, then alternate refract and meld

Oh and this is the game https://dotabuff.com/matches/48603162
