AM not too far in front on 43%

Jakiro on top

The nerfs don't seem too drastic on paper; 5 movespeed and a fractionally slower blink animation in AM's case, but it just goes to show how finely balanced the game is.

what's more significant to me than AM's blink animation increase is that it now shows you the direction he blinked in. When he spins around during the animation, he faces the direction he's going to blink in. If you were watching the blink animation, you can pursue him in a way that you never could before (provided you have the tools to realistically chase).

It was actually like that in Dota 1, and people were complaining about it for a while.

Disabling KotL's Teleport can actually screw over your team more, since if he uses map targeting, it will just teleport the next closest guy. You really shouldn't toss that one off unless he is using it intentionally to troll.

Couple of cosmetic things people have been working on that I really liked:

It was always like this, but I guess now that it's slower, it's more obvious. Also, the blink particles float in the direction that he traveled.

Something is wrong with my Dota 2. Every time I try to launch it it immediately crashes. It tried verifying game cache and it gets stuck on 90% and crashes Steam. Any ideas?

I'm referring more to intentional trolling (which hasn't happened often, but did happen recently), so I wouldn't be doing it lightly.

I also logged in to see one of my reports went through, so maybe that was the guy!

The people at MLG are trying to learn how to play the game, got in a game with MLGHammertime. I don't know why they had him play Brewmaster and Riki, even Keeper is a bit odd.

Played a few games as Visage lately. Really cool hero but hard as hell to play effectively with the ultimate. I noticed it really bothers me how much gold people get if they can kill my familiars (100 each); it makes me play overly cautious with them. Kinda sucks that if I want to go in with my summons for a risky kill, I give up a hero kill's worth of gold if they die. They don't have much health to begin with either!

I keep looking over at the Invoker summons who have twice as much HP, do decent sustained damage, are on a very low cooldown, and give half as much gold (if actually killed and not run away/resummoned), and it makes me think the bounty on the gargoyles should be reduced a bit. I know you can't compare them very fairly, and the Visage familiars are clearly superior, but that bounty is always hanging over my head. :(

Soul assumption is sweet though, especially early-mid game. The range on that spell is awesome.

I feel the Familiar bounty is more than counterbalanced by periodic stun and invincibility (not to mention nearly 100% magic resistance), you just have to build up the micro to use them effectively. Oh, and their attack damage is monstrous. Again comes down to your timing and micro to take advantage of that, though.

interesting game with a friend (lower bracket than what i normally play in..). faceless void didn't get q (opted for stats all the way to 20+) and sand king did the same with e. i asked sand king why he didn't get e and he said sand storm was better for aoe / farming..

wtf.

Well, they got half right. Better than expected!

Hero needs some micro to use properly, but he was really strong in tri-lane era. Kinda meh meh now

Everything going wrong for us this game. We gave up first blood, then 2 other kills to Pudge. Then I died trying to kill him and he denies himself. Calls me out on it, and I go at it with him. Full blown shit talking. Then I did one of the riskiest (and probably dumbest things ever). Got a 9:42 minute Midas just to mess around. Pudge sees me and calls me out on it, including Necro.

Feels good to destroy him.

*wants his low tier stamp*

Never. Again.

Yeah we won, and yeah I broke my record for most last hits in a game... but I would rather take an abandon than carry such incompetent people. There are just 2 people on my team who aren't in my party and just once I would like them to speak English, not give up FB, and not feed. Is that so much to ask. Can I get some low tier up in this.

Skane vs MYM game 2 now, MYM picked DK and Lycan as the last 2, but then... Skane picked.. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

I think they need to replace lvl? death with a stun to make him better. He had 6 top tier items at the end, that's when he was finally scary. But I mean a radiance/AC in 20 mins and he still dies is pretty bad.

Yeah, everyone basically dogpiled him as soon as he showed his face. And then he Doomed the Invoker that had just blown his combo instead of the Dark Seer. Mini wiffing a couple of stuns probably didn't help.

Every update dota's fps is worse on my old computer. When I got it could run it decently with all of the settings on max, now it's 15-20 fps with the lowest. Does anyone have any tricks that I can try? I have seen that there are some console commands.

Also, what is Vsync, will it boost performance if I turn it off?

Vsync locks the game to your monitor's refresh rate (60 fps). Makes it so theres no screen tearing.

If you enable triple buffering (in the console type "mat_triplebuffered 1") it will help your system if you're not constantly at 60 fps with vsync on.

In addition, if you don't like it when fps goes all over the place, use the console command "fps_max x" where x = whatever number you want your frame rate to be limited at.

As far as increasing fps, there's some config file changes you can do to make the render quality lower, but I don't know what they are. Your best bet is dev.dota2.com

In other news, I just played a match as Sven for the first time post patch. His cleave range and damage % is insane now. I think he'll have his time in the spotlight like carry tiny did.

radiance doom is totally not the best way to play him imo, mega-tank doom is the best.

I usually go vanguard first, work to a heart or scepter, get the one I don't have then just do situationals - bkb, linkens, mjolnir, assault curaiss or refresher orb for double your DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

I think I might go for Assault Curaiss more often now though. Shit is bananas.

I hate it when the other team unpauses our pause because a teammate is away doing something. Just happened to my team last game...

CAN'T YOU JUST WAIT TWO MINUTES?

What horrible DOTA etiquette.
