The fuck... they keep giving me DOTA 2 invites. I have 5 of them now and I don't know anyone that isn't already playing DOTA 2.

I just noticed that the invites cannot be used in russia and other cyrillic using countries. This is Valve acknowledging the russian issue.

Maybe that's why we get so many invites now, because we're confirmed non-rus players and they want more of us asap.

Ah, that might be the reason I'm not getting any invites. I call this racist.

cm's q while also giving the utility of a slow also provides damage. There is pretty much 0 reason to ever skill the aura in an offensive lane.
As for the draft? Your trilane was fine, their lane was much worse. But clockwork was a ????? pick, as that hero is uh, not the best.

therein lies the issue. it wasn't being offensive. If it was, I'd agree.

I also felt like since AM was basically solo'ing the lane, the slow isn't going to mean shit. he's going to simply blink away, so I felt like the additional freeze duration would be more likely to result in a kill. Neither materialized, though. But I'll keep your opinion here in mind next time. I think if it was anything but a blinking hero in the lane, I would have skilled Nova 2nd or 3rd. My principle concern was to disable him for as long as possible in order to get a kill. If that doesn't make any sense...I'll just chock it up as a lesson learned. not that it would have changed the outcome of the lane.

yea that game was...you know how sometimes you try to win the draft war on paper...but forget you have to figure out how to properly lane the shit with people who feel extremely comfortable in their own heroes' skin, so to speak? yea.

and I told them after the match that we weren't aggressive enough in the tri-lane...seems Purge agreed. As a note of clarification (or, at least an insight into my logic) I prioritized the Crystal Maiden's W and E because (a) I knew everyone on the team was going to need the mana boost and (2) I figured we'd need the extra stun time W gives to kill AM. I expected our Naga player to be MUCH more aggressive. I know AM can blink, but we had 3 *THREE!* stuns in the lane. Jakiro's 2 seconds, my 2 seconds, and Naga's forever lockdown. AM ain't getting out of that if chained properly. To that end, if Naga had decided to initiate at any time (or Jak, since they can cast their stuns from the longest distance...but Naga since hers is guaranteed), I feel like we could have won that lane going away. But that aggressiveness never materialized until I said something about it...and by then it was too late to win the lane.

The rest was just bad play. We've had much, much better games (including the one we just won 59966342)...but anyway, they moved me up from the 5 on the team to the 1 (because the 1 [the naga player] wasn't quite as aggressive as they had hoped and I suppose I am), so we'll see how that goes.

We got challenged by THE Dignitas...and declined so quickly I think I heard the sound barrier break.

Any other advice or insights regarding that will be relayed to the team and thus, greatly appreciated. Cheers.

It's cool man, shit like that happens. It's how you learn! Your tri-lane definitely could have been more aggressive. You and Jak could have roamed into the jungle too and made Enchant's life a living hell. Unfortunately, in a trilane versus trilane situation, the first set of three to give up a kill gives up the lane, so it just snowballed like crazy from there. Also, your QOP lost the rune war... somehow... and didn't do too well in her lane. She shouldn't have gone bottle first.

Clock isn't a bad pick at all in certain situations, he really excels at picking off and chasing squishy targets and disrupting heroes like ES, SF, Jakiro etc. from casting their spells. The problem with Clock in this particular matchup was that he wasn't really useful against any of their heroes. TA can power through and kill Clock, Tide will get his Ravage off no matter what, AM can blink out, Enchant's heal is enough to survive Clock's more consistent damage... I didn't see the bans, but I would much rather have liked to see a Batrider, Venomancer, Viper, or Dark Seer in his place.

If you ever want to play, give me a hollar, I can cobble together a few players for some fun practice games whenever you're down.

Glad the front page isn't just Diretide anymore. Missed spectating good players. Diretide is pretty useless for people who don't care about items.

I think Diretide is making me a worse player.

Got enough essences to make a Seraphic egg if I want though. Also managed to find a Tidehunter Squiddles. I think this is the best I'm going to get from the mode. Can't wait to go back to regular Dota.

This. It's also making me kinda impatient. Played a regular game where we were way behind and the other team had much better carry potential (spectre). Did the game end in 25 mins? Nah, they dragged it out to 45. Ordinarily that would annoy me, but even more so because of all the 20 minute games I've been playing via Diretide.

The extra exp and gold from candy throws everything out of whack, but the one thing Diretide does is make for a shorter game. I wonder if there'll be anything like that down the road (outside of events, I mean) even if it's unbalanced.

Yeah, diretide really makes us appreciate a shorter game. For an intense game like dota, 20 minutes is very good, 40+ is really stretching it, no wonder people get weary and aggressive, especially when you already know who won.

It's the one they sell on the item store. I'll trade u Chronite Scepter, The soul reaper, Winged paladin's glorious cape and tons of essences for it xD

I honestly don't even know what any of that means...I just play the game it's fun. Not really into cosmetics but I'm assuming this is a courier? Sounds neat but how does it fly?

bless you sir. I'll definitely take you up on that. I would like to at least be passable, and I can't get there continuing to play solo pub when the team isn't around. It's the absolute pits.

tonight in a solo pub adventure, I got more gpm than Huskar AND Brewmaster...as Crystal Maiden. shoot me now.

Wish reverse captain's mode was in matchmaking instead of private lobbies. Imagine the hilarity.

Also I don't want to play Diretide anymore but... the items. I'd be stupid NOT to farm them, right?

Anyone had the wards drop yet? I wonder how common they are.

Polycount:
All of those look pretty darn good cept for the Huskar one which doesn't really seem to fit the character.

Lina's hair looks kinda not so grade under the hood.

I love what people do with Pudge. You can do so much Texas Chainsaw Massacre / horror shit with him. Can't wait until some of these shit comes out.

Hey Echo, you play on SEA, right? What's your name in the Steam group?

[TTs]FlutterPuffs

Yo, I'll buy 2 of those unusual essences from you.

Sorry, already used the unusual essences on the Dreaded Eggs. I was lucky though, got two Dreaded eggs cheap (5 keys and 3 keys). Sold one and worked my way through that.

God bless people addicted to opening chests man. They want their keys fast.
