If you've been playing for a while you probably have a stockpile of items that are trade fodder anyways. Of course they won't make it available after the event, that's the point of an event, it's something limited that you experience.

The greevils aren't in chests, so you don't have to spend money on keys to get them. The only courier in the chests people want was the baby rosh.

The get an abandon without leaving the game bug has been around for a week now.
 
First game after Diretide, no one buys courier. My head asplode.

Slark is really fun, I can see me playing him more often. Is Dark Pact or Leash the most important to level up first?
 
Also Diretide chest items are dropping. Someone got the Slardar trident the last game. Does that mean the new Windrunner items are also dropping? I hope so. Hopefully the wards drop as well.

Honestly, I think the whole point of giving everyone all these unique greevils was to encourage people to buy couriers in their matches.
 
I have an 8% win rate with Windrunner. I dont know what to do with that hero to win games. I typically have a decent GPM and play support, going Basilius, Phase, then Mek, Force Staff and Sheep Stick. Sometimes Orchid.

I tried switching it up and going with a carry build, but shit results there, too. I hit tons of good shackles and have high success rate with powershot, too.

Could it be just really bad luck with finding teammates? =\
 
the effect on mine that has 1 unusual is pretty crap. Its not even noticable. I do like the color of him though. Cyborgmatts is pretty aweseome effect. I should have tried harder for unusuals

i think this is just a way of getting people to buy courier's so theys how there guy off. I think ill stick with my baby roshan or tree guy who has a glow that will blind you

edit: Also watching that international video that came out yesterday makes me miss the tourny, can we move it up to today :(. And that "play" still gives me goosebumps with the crowd chanting and stuff. And i hate that naavi had to beat iG TWICE

So what's the difference between greevils that have 1, 2 and 3 unusual essences respectively?

Ah I see, would've been cool if there were some unique effects that you got the higher you went. Damn the orange unusual courier ended up looking the best imo, the whole lava dripping from the mouth looks awesome. Too bad my bloody courier is a hiccuping drunk.

I usually go a carry build, force staff, phase and an orchid, daedulus next if I have the cash. It's important to get early kills, which between shackle and power shot isn't that hard, especially if you have a teammate helping you out. Keep a couple claritys on you and make liberal use of power shot.

Use shackle shot constantly, seriously whenever it might be useful, just use it, eventually you'll get a feel for how it latches. It's more important to get two heroes, than it is to get any specific hero in most games, IMO.

Thanks to windrun you can really make yourself a nuisance, a good use is to activate then ult on the enemy team's carry, their right clicking will do nothing and you will destroy them. Also realize that you can escape almost any team fight that is going badly between windrun, the force staff and the boots, and you should, she can delay the enemy really well when they're trying to take rax.

Always remember to use her ult when taking down towers or rax, it speeds the moment up exponentially.
 
I wish I had spent more time farming in DT (have been just burned out on DOTA recently). I think I'll just hang on to my unhatched egg for the time being and see if it eventually appreciates in value as well.

I watched that whole match last night and at the start I thought he was actually dropping some insight on how to solo mid vs TA with SK. Turns out he was just trolling a cookie cutter mid TA player (the guy was so rigid in his item build that he didn't even think to buy sentries).
 
hey guys, let's say if you want to trade a greevil with 3x unusuals on it for another greevil with 3x unusuals on it how can you make sure in the trade-window that what you're getting is a courier with all 3 on it?
 
Slark sitting at a 43% win rate. I kind of dread whenever he's picked on my team.

I thought new heroes always had abnormally high win rates and meepo was just an anomaly?

The unusual effect should have the word "aura" in it
 
Wonder if I could buy/trade for 3 unusuals and flip my Orange egg for more than that would cost me. Lava mouth greevil is definitely pretty cool. Not sure I would want to invest that much into it though. A shame a didn't get any unusual essences for all that I played (over 12 hours worth at least), but I'm not going to despair about it.

Ice Tiny skin I got from Diretide is probably worth a decent bit for some though...
 
Man, it amazes me people played Diretide so much. I stopped like four days into it, I was sick of the mode (specifically the stress caused by the time limit in the first phase)
 
I hatched my egg then realized I had an extra timebreaker I could probably have traded for some unusuals.

Ah well, I'm not crazy about the Greevils - I'll save it for something I like more.

the stress went down pretty quick. I played until the day it ended. I was sick of it by the 2nd to last day but i wanted items and it was no stress, no rage. Just pick a fun hero and go 5 man ganking.

Now trying to get back into normal mode is going to be tough. :( Back to playing earthshaker or tide waiting 25 minutes to get mana boots :(

i know that feel, bro.

god i know that feel. i was thinking about it and i came to the conclusion that she'll only ever be as good as her team. it's like being good at cm for example. no matter how well you do with cm, you won't be winning games if your team is lacking.

i think i should just start to play carries...

If you play carries and your team is lacking you won't win either.

personally, i've had more comebacks as a carry than as a support. i'm not arrogant or brash enough to say that it was all me, but i'd rather have my teammate be a 2-9 cm than a 2-9 chaos knight

I fucked it for our team once, so I'm sure it was my fault we lost.

But it was fun!!! Team was pretty cool about everything and I commended them all.

Edit: First time Slark, so I'd like some criticism on my build.
 
A carry-heavy strategy seems to work all too often in pub matches because the opposing team doesn't know how to co-ordinate to pressure early and end quickly.
