I hate myself. I can't believe I'm actually contemplating paying 30 friggin keys for a red Greevil. And for what? It's just a friggin' skin.

I don't think I'll go through with it...but damn.

Welp...I just paid $80 for a Greevil. ;_;

It was crazy yesterday.

I had one unusual essence left and I really wanted my Unusual Merciless Greevil. So I sold one of my Unusual Dreaded for 2 unusuals, and made my Merciless, traded my Wicked Greevil for 20 keys, and bought another Unusual Dreaded for 22 keys.

Next time, I'm just going to save myself the trouble and make something after you know how it looks like.

Figured I'd ask here since the item trading thread doesn't get as much traffic, does anybody have an empty egg or a lvl 2 red egg (merciless) or lvl 1 white egg? I was adding quas to my merciless egg and accidentally added too many and now I have a wicked egg. I'm just looking to swap.

[edit] Thanks steve!

Sniper i think. It has his goggles and boomstick.

The Wardog is a pittance compared to the other two. A price check of Kantusa says it's at 35 keys. While people are selling their orange ones for 20-25.

Going by that, I would say no.

I can't see this being correct. You can buy the mouse for 64.99 so how can the item that comes with it be worth more than that?

Because there wouldn't be a point to trading for keys if you don't actually want to spend your keys on anything.

35 may have been overshooting it though, since demand has probably gone down.

Wait though. The only greevils worth something is Greedy > Merciless > Dreaded.

The rest will drop in price soon after. Selling your Kantusa now for something very unstable in price could be a mistake.

And your Kantusa is really worth a lot man.

Yeah I made myself a 3/2/2 Merciless with 3 unusuals. Hopefully it goes up in value and not down.

The Greedy is currently worth more, but there's really no one offering up Merciless currently so I have a feeling it'll go up more in value.

Dota2; Stomp or be stomped

Seriously I hate this shit, pretty much every game is arse. You play 4-5 games for that 1 good well rounded game and its's enough to suck you back in for more.

Should I swap my 3x unusual orange greevil for a 3x unusual blue greevil? I usually play support and I like the effect on blue and how it matches support heroes like cm and lich.

Orange is a complimentary colour though... theorize dat shiet.

I'm really trying to like this game, guys. I'm really trying. I've played about 3 hours worth of bot matches so far, but I've only managed to finish 1 single game. The rest of the time I just get so bored and fed up that I quit.

I guess I should just ask: What about Dota is fun to you?

I appreciate the strategy element. The problem is that I am just not enjoying the controls and gameplay. I don't know if SMITE spoiled me with its WASD controls and 3rd-person action-style combat, but Dota's camera view, camera control, and point-and-click control scheme is killing me. Last-hitting feels like more of a chore than combat, and I hate how the camera is so close you can barely fit yourself and your enemies in the screen at the same time.

Maybe I'll try again when I get home, but I really haven't been having any fun so far. :(

When I first started playing Dota 2 I hated it. I got into the beta last November (wow, it's already been a year), played a few bot matches and quit. I got a lot of invites in April, shared them, and started playing with friends and never looked back. PLAY WITH FRIENDS. You're Big Booty Paul, right? A ton of TF2 GAFfers play Dota 2, hook up with one of them. You can customize your controls any way you want. I just keep the default but have items at DF1234. Space bar selects hero, double tap space to focus camera. B controls courier, double tap to focus camera.

The game is really a lot of fun because it rewards strategy and skillful playing. There are a ton of characters to try out, and games are filled with memorable moments (for better or worse). It's not a game for everyone, but I highly recommend you stick with it. You can always play with me anytime I'm on if you want.

A carry-heavy strategy seems to work all too often in pub matches because the opposing team doesn't know how to co-ordinate to pressure early and end quickly.

Or because people go too far in the other direction, say 'DONT DRAG GAME WE PUSH' and scream obscenities at the team for not trying to rax/basedive at the 20 minute mark of the game, leading to a couple of disastrous teamfights as you try to push highground without mek/pipe/blinks up on your early-mid game heroes.

I've lost more than a few games like this, when the more sensible option is just to hold them in base and leave all of their carries competing for one lane's worth of farm at a time while you farm the entire map and then push 10 minutes later when you've all got a 4 level advantage.

Where are you guys doing all this trading? I've got a ton of Greevils, would love to get my trade on.

My favorite so far is tf2outpost. I believe it is NA based.

I had tried dota-trade but I had no luck, seemed to be be mostly russians.

There's also reddit dota trade, but its not the easiest thing to search through and find what you want.

Pretty much everything, I must say.
Beside, the game is gorgeous, which makes you want to love it.

Guy accuses me of feeding when his friend has more deaths than me. I call him out on it, he says 'I don't know anyone here'. Told him I checked his profile and that the rest of the team are all on his friends list. He shuts the fuck up hahahaha

The best part is you just KNOW his friends got all pissed at him for throwing them under the bus soon after.

We had both Pudge and Tiny on our team, yet they instead I as Lich go mid instead. Then CM get's first blooded trying to place the ward she left at base, and Pudge dies 30 seconds later. And Slark gets no farm at all while being the closest we have to a carry. And the Tiny/Pudge combo lane repeatably died.

This is clearly all reddit's fault, since the Dota2 subreddet mod was the Tiny and his Friend the Pudge.

Not surprised.
