Why is no one picking Shadow Demon against Sven? I really don't get it: early game if you have decent reflexes you can dodge his stun easily and in late game you can just ult him after he pops God's Strenght. People seem to be forgetting that he's still a melee hero whose only mobility is an ms buff.

I'm pretty sure Rubick cast almost as many Storm Hammers as Sven did that game. Gonna watch the replay and just watch Jeyo. His versatility at mid has been a huge asset this event for EG, being able to perform extremely well with Invoker and now Rubick when needed.

Nothing with a recipe can be disassembled, for one.

Aside from that it's just a case by case balance decision.

Vanguard for instance, can't be disassembled because it is so strong early game that allowing it's parts to be reused later on would make it a default first item for way too many heroes.

I never even thought about trying to disassemble those items. Makes almost no sense.

I could maybe see disassembling shivas to build a sheepstick and/or AC, but Mjolnir? Why would you ever build that and then disassemble it?

Either way, all of those items are typically such late game items that disassembly is a minor issue.

I guess my point was that there's no real rhyme or reason for which items can be disassembled. Sure you could see the vanguard being more viable if it were able to be disassembled but the tranquil+vit booster+pms can fit into that role at the cost of one more slot. The abyssal blade can be disassembled too, why? To build a radiance or a divine rapier? Some stuff just doesn't really make sense in this game.

Bad commentators don't help, someone like Ultradavid would have helped a ton towards making the game at least a little comprehensible to the crowd.
