Yeah I think he has for now. But he goes back and forth between games. Hes currently banned from Twitch though.

Also as for Shift-clicking, generally you want to do it after doing something that is channeled. Theres not much point doing it after a normal blink because a blink is so quick it would be done before you even shift-click your next skill.
A good example is shift-clicking the blink dagger while Sank King channels his ulti.

I dunno if I've read it here but someone posted a very simple rule of thumb that's really helped me in terms of organizing team objectives. Basically, gank beats split push (and farm), split push beats turtle (or group defend), turtle beats gank... Obviously this is super simplistic but it's a pretty easy way to get teammates organized when they're confused...
 
Played my first DOTA 2 match today (we won, yay). Played as the Alchemist and I quite liked him. The acid skill was pretty good against huge number of foes and stun bomb was great against PCs, once I learned how to throw that damn thing.

The lingo is a bit hard to understand for a noob. A teammate just run past me and said "lets rosh". I had no idea what that even meant but I followed the guy to this Dragon(drake?) which we then killed I got some shield thingy or something.

The community seems to be much better than I expected. People were helpful, and responded immediately to my questions with out mocking me. Might actually play more of this, yay for winter break which starts tomorrow for me.

Run. Run while you still can. You have a whole soul. Do not subject it to Dota.

Rosh refers to Roshan, the dude that you killed. He's super strong and usually at least three guys need to take him down. The thing you picked up is called the Aegis, and it revives you instantly after death, but only once. Also be careful what heroes you pick: a lot of heroes your team-members will expect that you do certain things with that you don't know about. If you want to risk getting flamed its a good idea to mention that you're new with a hero and very honestly ask for advice about skills and items

if i could figure out why i lag when i stream on a computer that can run multiple high end games at once then I would do my best to replace him with pure awesomeness

I just talked to someone at twitch, he said hes not banned.

Not to mention I wouldnt think they would ban you for something like that...This is the internet afterall
 
Well I heard he was banned, I guess it was just a temp. thing or he got warned. Still got time to take his spot, Dorkimoe.

He was banned. He was back on and streaming again a few hours later, where he was complaining about being banned and saying "other people say and do worse on their streams" and babbling about how he's trying to hit an average of 400 viewers/day so he can get sponsored or whatever. Then he said he'd be back tomorrow streaming again.

I guess others turned off the stream and assumed that was that. I happened to leave the window open, so I saw (well, heard, then saw when I checked the tab) that he was back.

Reminds me of a dumb story from LoL. I played a solo game as a support, allied semicarry-bruseerman complains that I stole his kill (I argue he was going to die). 5 minutes later, same fight happens. This time, I just do nothing. He dies, then I finish off the other guy. Guy gets mad, I point out he told me not to help last time, team backs me up.

LoL isn't LoL without someone crying about kill stealing. I swear everybody plays that game as if they are the only one on the team.

well it was better once they stopped showing you the item on the line though.

But it still got really annoying.

I would rather see like a kills contest in a time limit so its just nothing but team fights. Or just something different, I really hope its not just diretide with candy canes
 
I'm going to get shit for this...but at my bracket level, I'm starting to hate junglers. I've played with good junglers before and they actually come out to gank and actually press the man advantage gained with that position. But most junglers I come across just AFK farm b/c they think that jungling gives them a free pass during the laning phase.
 
The worst part is many times there is no one who can really solo lane on the team. I'm sorry, I did not pick with the anticipation for Jungle Batrider.
 
I loved and hated Diretide. Loved doing something else then going after towers and hated that the games problems made Diretide just as infuriating as the Regular game mode. Trying to explain to someone who doesn't speak english that you have to collect candy and then put it in a basket is like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer.
