So we have people that want to know how to play medusa, my question is what heroes compliment her?

I figure since medusa is going to be popular for a week, I should pick heroes that compliment her, so she can farm while the team defends against pushes.

Hooooo Anuxi ur lucky, I had exactly $7.99 in my steam wallet after the sales and was only gonna buy ur Lina set if it was that price or cheaper.

Enjoy my monies

There needs to be a new report option:

DOES NOT COMMUNICATE IN A FUCKING TEAM GAME

Worst game ever! Top lane dies to Sven like six times in the first ten minutes, bottom lane lets Wisp eat them alive somehow, we get stomped, rolled over, and destroyed, and no-one says a GODAMN WORD. TALK YOU FUCKERS TALK.

If I wanna learn Pudge from the pros, which people should I check out to watch replays of?

People will say Dendi but I think it's better to pay attention to good players who you play with or against.

What inevitably happens if you watch pros is you latch onto gimmicks and tricks they do, which while impressive don't demonstrate the real strength of their ability, which is usually mental (awareness, aggression, other factors), and is hard to follow in watching a replay.

When you play against or with them yourself, you get a much better grasp of what they've done that you want to replicate, and it's easier to be aware of the circumstances because you've experienced them personally. For example "I was feeling frustrated because I was getting killed trying to push bot, so I went top to farm but Pudge was there waiting for me and hooked me from the tower to the jangle. He knew it's where I'd go after getting isolated and ganked several times." These behavioral patterns are more important than looking for gimmicks like force staffing yourself to a ledge then hooking them up there. You need to experience that frustration or that understanding of the phases of the game and where you are.

Stuff like, when its good to be solo, when its good to be with the team... these are important, but should be measured based on the circumstances of the game and not watching a replay to see "okay, Dendi was solo ganking to level 8, then started team fighting" because he won't follow that game to game and you shouldn't either.

You probably don't need this detailed a rundown, but there has been an influx of new players due to mass invites so maybe others will benefit from my anecdotes..

Medusa was my carry of choice when I played Dota back in 2005-ish, but I'm pretty sure her abilities got changed. Used to have a purge (like Diffusal) on a short CD as her ult, and the Snake ability was a Zeus-style Chain lightning, but more dmg and longer CD. Razor had the exact same Chain lightning back then, too. I'll give her a shot, though the new ult is probably harder to use than the old purge.

Love that new Lina hat

Pudge items are pretty decent too.

Yay! So glad they put in Frumps hat! Damm its been up on the wrokshop for ages.

Man I suck at lina, her anims and speed feels worse than CM. Mainly cause I don't get any feedback from her 'run' cycle so she feels like molasses when she moves .________.
