I wonder if DC would ask some questions.
Very Hawkgirl like

I gotta be honest I don't really feel that WR set. It looks like a HON design IMO - too much detail.

That's one reason I don't really like Belle of the North Star so much. It just looks off, compared to the rest of the Dota 2 art direction. It's still well done, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't quite fit in as well as other things.

Yeah. Both may be toned down to some degree in the final game though. Could be really class.

That WR set is seriously like one of the best cosmetic sets I've ever seen.

It looks nice, but compare the texture work on the mask and shoulders to the base model, they look like two completely different games.

Yeah, even in the Polycount contest I was never too much of a fan of BotNS. It feels a bit too...over the top maybe?

Guys, just saw a Huskar being hit by Tinker's laser and just jump him and rape him, twice. Is it a bug? Shouldn't he miss for a while?.

Haha, I did this once in a game and I immediately realized how stupid I was. When Huskar jumps he's not only magic immune, he has most debuffs dispelled. You have to save your laser for after he's jumped. I usually get a eul's or something as well to try and be cute.

My mission over the next few weeks is to become not the worst Mirana player in the world (currently the worst). Maybe I should make a second account so I don't blow my win ratio back down below 50%

Seriously considering picking pudge at the start of every picking phase before repicking just before the end to keep him off my teams.

Sick of players who instalock him, go mid, get outlaned completely, and then roll around at 15 minutes with basic boots and bottle getting instagibbed as soon as they go anywhere near the enemy team. They'll also hook targets without any sort of thought put who, why, or when they're hooking. They'll ignore the possibility of a teammate using a stun to set up a free hook and throw it out beforehand. When ganking they'll simply walk in from the front and start rotting creeps to death when the enemy heroes simply run off to safety. I'm convinced they pick the hero solely because they get a rush from landing a tricky skillshot.

I understand that it's fun, but I place 'pudge players' in a seperate category to 'dota players', since 99% of the time they're not actually thinking about winning the game and just want to get a clip worthy of dotacinema, without understanding that in the dotacinema clips the reason the pudge player has the hp/mana to fight 4 players at once while skillshotting them is because every time he gets a kill the announcer is like 'WICKED SICK' or 'GODLIKE' (ie he's already very farmed and the enemy is very underfarmed).

I've been in a zen state of not getting mad at this game for the last 2 weeks, and had like an 80% winrate as a result, but just got stomped twice largely because I felt like we were playing 4v6 both games due to a completely useless pudge. Watching them play so awfully and repeatedly mess up easy ganks makes me progressively flustered to the point where it affects my own game.

And then I come to whine/vent on a forum like this.

I actually practiced against bots for a bit and that really helped timing the arrow and when to smoke. She's really fun :D

I found Mirana kind of awkward to play. I feel pretty comfortable with Chaos Knight as far as mounted units go but Mirana felt like I was driving a tank.

Serious question: approximately how much of Valve's money are you planning on taking?

enough to keep me making dota 2 items for ever :D

I want someone to make a chart of the map with arrow locations from start to finish and highlight the landed arrows in blue and the missed arrows in red.

I feel like knowing concretely where arrows hit most frequently would help when making the decision to throw. Playing a percentage game is better than just guessing or following intuition when your intuition is untrained.

I made the switch from LoL to Dota 2 and got to say I am loving the game. However, I have played more games with Russians and Mexicans than Americans. I am a Clinkz lover and just finished a game with 26 kills carrying the team to a win and all they had to say was "puta yankee." Same thing with the Russians. Carry them to a win with Clinkz and I get a very thick and broken accent of asshole yankee over voice. Love the community.

^ On the flip side bananabread, I'm tired of really good Pudge players (obviously on smurf accounts) wrecking everyone in low level games.

Played Chaos Knight, Lion, and Vengeful Spirit tonight. The CK game sucked because my gf called right when the matched started and talked for 30 minutes, so I couldn't concentrate and ended up feeding pretty bad. The Lion game was even worse; my team just got steamrolled. The VS game was great, as we steamrolled the other team.

My "which heroes I prefer to pick" list is getting near completion. I made a list on a piece of paper with 4 categories: Support, STR, AGI, and INT. My goal is to narrow down my 4 favorite heroes of each category, and that way I can focus on those heroes and I'll always know who to pick for each role. I finished the Support category tonight: Shadow Shaman, Lich, KotL, and Venge. I have 3 picked for STR: Lifestealer, Slardar, and Skeleton King. The last spot is between Alchemist and Centaur Warrunner. Luna and PA are my only AGI heroes... that list is gonna be a little slow to finish because I don't play AGI heroes too often. Zeus and Outworld Dev are my 2 INT heroes so far. Death Prophet, Pugna, QoP, and Windrunner are the other candidates.

I don't know why I just explained all of that to you, but there it is.

So I've gotta say...for NS, keeping his nuke at rank one and banking skill points until you really need it or the first night really helps with the laning phase as you can use void to last hit if necessary...dunno why I didn't think of that before..

It's just about training your intuition. Once you have that down, you will make plenty of arrows, even shit like these:

Speaking of maps like that, I think it's unlikely Valve would ever implement it themselves, and would probably be impossible for 3rd parties to do (at least with the data currently available to them), but I would love to see location heat maps for kills/deaths/etc. with the ability to sort by hero, and view personal as well as public statistics on such. Location of skillshot throws (e.g. Arrow, Hook) and hits/connections would just be icing on the cake.

Basically what Bungie did with Halo stats.

Anyone know if Bruno's replay parser has location data (X,Y position on map)?

Dota 2 client now loads 2.6 times quicker and the game itself loads 2.1 times quicker

for HDDs. SSDs will load into games about 25% faster. (samsung ssd 830 from 20 to 15s)

Saw this. Will be a godsend when playing on my laptop. The initial load is just brutal. Should help get people back into the game when you get disconnected.

I hope it'll be exclusive to CM games.

...that way more people queue for CM and the games don't take 10 minutes to pop

Pretty sure Team MM is going to be a seperate queue and you'll need to queue with your in-game team for games.
