the fuck, a 2 gb patch and it's downloading at less than 1mb/s. fuck you valve. i'm gonna cut your balls gabe

edit :1.7 mb/s now, still too slow

edit: nm it's back to being even shitter. reported

Fuck you and your fucking 1.7mb/s. We're lucky to get half that fast in Australia so shove it.

EDIT: BITCH.

des0lar and hylian7 need to start their own pro teams

I am by no stretch of the imagination a good player. I often make pretty rookie mistakes and forget simple stuff, but I like theorycrafting and theory tells me that I see ne reason to get AC, when there are better more cost effective alternatives available.

I'm going to disagree with this one. The justification for taking Nethertoxin first is that it's a huge help for last hitting. You're only without Poison Attack for one level, which in a solo lane is not that long and getting those last hits and denies being that much easier is more than worth it.

I guess I underestimate Corrosive Skin though. I never really felt like it did much for me, and just seemed like an afterthought.

Yeah, I often actually take a few levels of stats before maxing Corrosive Skin

I max out at 220 kbytes/s, but my internet is a 2 megabit connection, so its naturally horrible. No more dota for tonight, but I did play a satisfying nightstalker game.

Buying smoke as nightstalker totally shits over the strategy of wards in pubs.

2-1-2-1-1-4-2-2-3-3-4-3-3

You honestly only need 3 points in ur orb to remove the cd, maxing nethertoxin asap is usually what you wanna do since its ur main source of damage. Corrosive Skin is really good, as not only does it give u passive magic res, but it makes manning up against Viper really hard.

Huh, first time in ages I get good speed from a Dota update..

That does make more sense. Before I always did two in Nethertoxin and maxing orb, but if I'm just stacking damage early game, Nethertoxin makes the most sense.

I'm more talking specifically about that exact situation you were in; no courier, bottle rush build, 1v1 versus a pudge. You need to start lane harass early on pudge because as long as he has more health than you he can always manfight you with rot and win. You have to run his regen out fast while keeping yours as long as possible. Using orb attack for harass means you never take creep aggro and never take damage from creeps. Poison attack has more damage on high health targets, and again, pudge wants to keep himself at high health as long as possible so that he can rot through his whole combo.

I would have gone 1-2-1-3-1-4 in your situation, even though I would agree with 1.09 for almost any other situation.

Troll Warlord now has a set of “fast” animations for both his melee and ranged stance, which should improve his animation quality when he hits the attack speed cap.

fuck yeah! Hope it looks great.

I see the calculus has changed. The measurement is now "relative to your other heroes" instead of relative to other people playing those heroes in your skill bracket.

The Assault Cuirass theorycrafting makes a pretty big oversight: the armor and attack speed bonuses are split between item bonuses and the actual aura itself. Only the wearer receives the benefit of both.

What the carry gets from AC if he builds it himself: +55% attack speed, +15 armor
What the carry gets if his support builds it instead: +20% attack speed, +5 armor

35% bonus attack speed and 10 bonus armor are no small things lost, especially when you put them onto a hero that may not have the dps focus or the farm to take advantage of them to begin with. So it's in fact the direct opposite of what you said, it's a wasted slot for support heroes and a solid item for carries. Even if it were cheaper, it would still fundamentally be a waste on the support strapping a Mekansm and a Force Staff.

I always thought the armor decrease was the most important aspect. Like a free team desolator

New chests are for Morphling, Omni and Kunkka, can drop HUD skins...

And 'Treasure of the Forbidden Lotus: A strange and fragrant chest. The lock is of an unknown design and the contents are currently a mystery.'

Luna, Chaos Knight, Ursa, Crystal Maiden, Shadow Fiend and Faceless Void are maxed.

Invoker, Bloodseeker, Antimage, Weaver, Skeleton King, all around 9.5.

The new performance system seems to take winrates into account a lot more; in fact it seems on some characters that is the only factor it takes into account.

Yeah, it seems that wins are significantly higher in value then KDR or anything else really. My 4-1 PotM has 10 bars, but my 29-16 storm has 8.5.

HUD skins! great idea for unlockable/pay content. Excited to see them.

Ah, I see.

Another thing, what is fundamentally wrong with Bottle rush on Viper? I thought you should buy it on every mid hero. Even if Viper doesn't need the mana supply, the health regen is awesome, as well as the rune bottling functionality, which I think makes it more than worth it. Would it really be better to just skip it and go straight Wraith Bands/something else?

Strange that they would upload a crate with no key. Normally they've done that in TF2 for soon to be major updates.
