Had an awesome WR game, then the next game I'm queued with an entire EE/Russian set despite the server being EU West.

How can I enjoy this game when my only opportunity to play with English-speaking people all the time is to queue on US East, which gives me 150 ping? It's no fun to get rolled whilst people type in an alphabet I cannot understand.
 
Just played with Lion and Anti-Mage. And people love to rage quit i guess. Since with lion i killed them instan on begin of the match when i spike and hex lol. And with Anti-mage blinking in and using his super ability building up those passive's. I was on a roll pretty fun hero's to play. I like lion the most for his lane support but also the burst damage on other hero's.

You spiked an hexed on the instant the match begin? Imba ability to be level 2. :/

I won't go so far as to say it's popular, but I've seen it more than a few times. The idea being you port someplace close, shadow blade, attack to open with extra damage, tree, etc.

edit: Though getting Aghs seems a bit odd. I'd imagine you'd get the Medallion to lower armor.

I've decided that I really am not a fan of Aghs on Prophet (at least the way I play him).

His ulti is plenty strong as is for what it does - the Aghs doesn't really add enough to make a difference. So it pretty much ends up being a stat stick. I'd rather have the slot free for an item that makes him a better right click.
 
In my 70+ games of DotA 2 I had yet to see a game with Earthshaker in it. So I decided to pick him in a game last night. Unfortunately there were too many early leavers to even consider it a game. Definitely going to pick him more often, I forgot how much I enjoy playing him.

It's also cool for split pushing build. Manta, Necro and shadow blade.

You can also get it so that when you go tp to a lane to push it, you don't have to worry as much about being ganked
 
I tried Medallion on Dazzle and it had it's moments. You really need the Weave though for pure domination. It's cheap and might be a good item if someone else already bought a mek (which they did in that game). Still got my ass beat though.

Yeah, I see where you could. I just feel if you get it, go on the aggressive. Dust or sents negates it as an escape mechanism which I don't feel makes the investment worth it. Manta, I can see it being a bigger asset lategame when you've gotten some better items. Necro though, at the point I feel where it's useful for pushing why not just go Aghs and get the damage to multiple lanes with it.

Situational and preference dependent as always though.
 
Riki has no durability and his ulti is a passive. Once you see him he's dead. Even his cloud can be countered by MKB on the carry.

Riki is just really good at destrying in pubs. Players doing their own thing and not sticking together plus not buying detection or having counter heroes is the perfect environment for Riki to own in.

Okay that explains alot.

Come to think of it we had a SK who kept roaming about on his own getting ganked by riki and slark.
 
Nothing is more infuriating than an utterly passive team. I'm Kunkka, we also have an Earthshaker. In every early teamfight either ES or I stun like at least three or four of them, and then the rest of the team does nothing. I die a few times because I am trying to go in and attack the stunned enemies assuming that my team will also. This is a team with a Skele King and a Windrunner, and I think I saw WR make like...three powershots.

Yeah it hurt us alot. I am still very new to this game (only about 100 hours in) so it is allways nice to come here and hear these things.
 
EG vs. Fnatic game 3 here EG has taken a page out of 8 months ago. All push all the time.

Leshrac, Veno, Lone Druid, and Beastmaster, with a Dark Seer for good measure.
 
Man I love this game but boy can it be frustrating with a bad team (-mate). Had somebody on my team who went about 0-8 in the first ten minutes, all the kills to Drow on the other team. Drow was absolutely unstoppable within a short period of time.

When i was level 2 and i did do that yes. First blood is always fun.

Just had a match 3v5.

And we won,this shit was intense,and first time i tried Ursa. Also when at a high level he is a monster on rampage. Yeah i love this game..sometimes you win sometimes you lose but this feels good man.

He's my favorite hard initiator (sk, enigma, magnus etc) and I think he's pretty popular in the chinese meta. Fissure blocking has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game.

The only problem with him is finding the space to farm your blink dagger. If you can get it before 20 minutes your team will most likely win every team fight for a while.

The optimal build would be mana boots -> blink dagger -> ult stick

Yeah that's usually how you go about it. Sometimes I start with a soul ring if I have random gold. You can get veil of discord instead of aghanims if you have other people on the team who use aoe magic damage.
