Dragon Age: Inquisition | E3 2014 Coverage

They definitely think 75% of their install base is into fabulous headwear.

And who am I to argue?

I like this guy. The last ones a keeper. I like that Bioware seems to have matured somewhat on this issue, I remember back when Leliana and Morrigan's models were modelled after (soft?) porn actresses. I physically cringed.

Mass Effect 3 also has its share of overly sexualised design and that was a fairly recent outing.

But the company seems to have its heart in the right place and it's good to see developers like Gaider telling it straight without PR fluff.

I may not care for Bioware's output as of late but I love that they don't take shit from homophobes. That Anders outrage was embarrassing.

I had no idea. That's funny because I thought DA:O (and ME1) had the best treatment of female bodies and that they've regressed since then.

homophobes.

As I posted in the other new thread about the "controversy", I frankly don't care how many gay/lesbian characters they make as long as they don't throw straight male dudes under the bus, but when you give the variety, spice and everything nice to dare I say a small percentage of your install base and the majority get's the shaft? (pun maybe intended)

I just don't see how that makes sense...

And how are the majority getting that? There has been one confirmed romantic interest for guys who like guys and one confirmed interest for girls who like girls (or indeed guys who like 'girl on girl' - and they were, last I understood, pretty damn numerous). There are two further romantic interests (one male and one female) whose orientations have not been confirmed - but who have both expressed *some* interest in the opposite gender in past games, so will, in all likelihood be either straight or bi. Then Bioware has said that DAI has the biggest number of romances of any DA game (Origins had 4 and DA2 had 5) so that is at least 2 more romances that are unannounced. How are straight guys are being left out just because those who are not straight guys are being included?

Considering how terribad DA2 was I am kinda surprised this is getting so much buzz and attention.

Well, it looks to be in another league than DAII. Come on, Dennis. Tell me you are at least intrigued by the environments and how gorgeous the more open world is.

Everything they've shown looks to be a massive improvement over DA2. It's good to see that there are level-headed people who judge games on their merits and what they show and can bring to the table than just immediately writing them off based on prior games. The way it should be.

Its Bioware. They will always get hype unless they fuck up maybe around two more times. And while there are more WRPGs being made now, most are PC only and don't have retail releases.

This ones for the ladies, Cullen:

Cullen has seen the worst that magic and corruption can do to innocent people. Trained from a young age, he has devoted more than half his life in service to the Templar Order. He saw the Ferelden Circle fall during the Blight and was witness to the mage-templar conflict that tore Kirkwall apart. In the aftermath, it was Cullen who rallied what remained of Kirkwall's templars to restore order to the devastated city. His leadership and integrity caught the attention of Cassandra Pentaghast, who recognized in him a vital component in forming the Inquisition. Now the world is falling into chaos. Cullen is through waiting for others to act, and he's determined that the Inquisition will make a difference for the people of Thedas.

Wasn't it mentioned that there will be no day night cycle? Just weather effects?

I actually thought the guy with the lion armor in the trailer is Morrigan's offspring..

There are 10 regions in the game and each will have their own weather and time of day. Don't know if it will vary within a region though.

And yeah that was always Cullen.

Oh My God!! I think Style should be a spell class because these looks can DPS!
Are overcoats and little bits of straw and/or wheat that you dangle from your mouth confirmed? What about knee high boots? Or cigarette's?

So Cullen is in this game as well? When I played as a female mage in the first game, I found it s sad with his love for the PC get turn against him in the mage tower. So sad :(

I want to see if they explain how he recovered from that. Or if they incorporate his ending slides from Origins but I think it's going to get ignored like many things that happened in Origins.

Why do I prefer the old version ?
Is it because I'm seeing (bad) Alistair in this new version ?
Anyway, too bad he is just a counsellor and not a companion.
