Everything but the actual show and manga call them that and it's annoying as fuck.
It's even worse in Xenoverse 2 where in dialogue they call it Super Saiyan Blue and "SSGSS" Goku's transformation is called "Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken".

Looks like more costumes than usual for a Arcsys game is possible.
18 already has 2 or even possible 3 costumes if the Super version from the trailer is playable.

While I could see 17 as a DLC character, I feel like if anything Super 17 would stand a better chance of that. 18 has had a lot more action scenes, while stuff like 17's barrier would work in also giving 18 a defense support. I'd love to see GT DLC or something in general, but I also hope movie characters like Janemba or Broly get in.

This isn't "18 with 17" it's "18 with 18 cosplaying 17". They use the exact same animations and have the same height. It's a glorified costume. 0 effort was put into him. They already had the model from story too.
seems the "blue" versions are locked characters since the trailer mentions they are "erly unlocks" if you pre order.

That doesn't mean they can do costumes easy, it's part of her moveset. Also I don't think 17 has 18's entire moveset, does he? He just shows up for combo attacks right?

Right, but I saw him using the grab move, so outside of special moves he has all her normals.
And they swapped 17 for Krilin if he's on the team (awesome isn't it ? Can't even play Krilin now), so I doubt they put much thought into "17 in her moveset" when he LITERALLY is a body double and 1:1 with her.

Hmm yeah thinking about it, you're probably right. I assumed the worst as in them releasing the characters down the line for non-preorders.
Worth noting that Guilty Gear's story mode has several characters in different outfits than their playable ones.
I'm not saying that alternate costumes is impossible, but I think this should be kept in mind.

They just copied her animations cause it saved time then, that doesn't mean costumes are easy.
Doesn't seem like it, as Android 18's alternate costume still has a skirt.
It's probably just that Android 17's representation was worth an effort that they couldn't afford to do with every alternate costume.

That's a great way of incorporating a move with a long charge up time.

I can see it being like Sin and Raven in Guilty Gear where you can earn them in the game but there also gonna be a unlock it right away for 2 bucks option.
Preorder could give you the buy option right away.

And I'm also curious how good his shot assist is. This is going to make building a team around Krillin pretty interesting.
