I feel like general blue came the absolute closest out of any villain to wiping all the heroes out in dragon ball and z. It was only through the luckiest timing by lunch, and a split second difference by goku, between life and complete annihilation.

Ya know what, something Toriyama teased for decades that he never actually went through with is a major character finally being granted immortality. Yeah we had Garlic Jr. but that was either filler or a movie, neither of which came from Toriyama. It would be great to see it happen in the main series and have the wish somehow go to Krillin of all people. Maybe have him interrupt a villain's wish and take it for himself or something along those lines. It'd be a fun and interesting way to keep Krillin relevant without making him the strongest character.

Why not best human, Tien?

Make Krillin a god, like Dende :D

Is 18 immortal, being a cyborg? The immortal Z Fighters with their mortal child.

Roshi already is immortal,
unless you think a few hundred years are a regular DB human lifespan of course.

(And just to get that out of the way, Roshi being killed by Demon King Piccolo doesn't mean he's not immortal; Immortality != Invulnerability)

But roshi wasn't killed by piccolo. He used the mafuba and used up all his energy in the process.

Best shounen trope ever:

Luffy: "Gear 2nd and 3rd wreck my body and life span"

Tenshinhan/Tien: "Neo Tri-beam consumes my life"

Roshi: "Fucking mafuba consumes my life"

Not exactly the same but:

Naruto: "Rasenshuriken wrecks my hand...whatever! Just gotta throw it"

Oh yeah I misremembered. Still, Roshi is stated to be immortal on multiple occasions in Dragon Ball and nothing we've seen in the series has contradicted that so far.

So I was watching a clip of Return of F or whatever the hell it is, and i had a question:
So Goku was fighting form 4 Freeza in what appeared to be his base form. And from there he went directly to SSJGSS (my god what a fucking stupid name). Does this mean he no longer does SS-SSJ3?

He's a Saiyan beyond God. Since he's absorbed the God power and mastered that state, he can use the God power in base form which is obviously stronger than normal SSJ 1-3.

Wait, so his base form was already SSJG? Okay, while weird, that almost makes some sense. Still, shouldn't he have that red aura?

In BoG,
he was still able to hang with Beerus in "base form" when he ended up dropping the original SSG red form because he got used to the power. And apparently having the white aura indicates godly ki.

Maybe this is why we never see Gohan w/ SSJ2 sparks anymore?
Maybe he managed to absorb and acclimate to that power just like his dad did with SSJG!

^^;

Say, what ever happened to some of the older friends of Goku, like the tribal girl. She's not a throwaway gag character like Launch mind you, she actually explored with Goku and even fought off in Baba's challenges.

Better question: what happened to Lime and her grandpa?

The whole "Saiyan Beyond God" thing seems to be just marketing.
He did get a really big boost from "absorbing" the god power, but he only actually reaches the power of SSJG with the new blue haired SSJGSS form. His base is still weaker than a SSJG, even if it's stronger than even SSJ3. In the movie itself, the new form is only described as having the power of SSJ God, and he still seems to be weaker than Beerus, which wouldn't be the case if SSJGSS at least doubled his power compared to SSJG.

I thought 18 was human now? For some reason my head is saying they used the dragonballs to make her human

They attempted to but it didn't work, since she's stronger than Shenglong. They only removed the self destruction bombs from both 17 and 18.

Didn't Krillin wish to turn her into human again after Cell's defeat?

Shenlong couldn't do that remember? It was "beyond his powers" so Krillin asked for him to remove all the bombs inside them instead.

Edit:
See this Article talks about how they were humans named Lapis and Lazuli before being turned into Cyborgs by Gero. 18 can have kids probably because Gero didn't take out her reproductive organs.

Long story short they were never really Androids have always been Cyborgs but it doesn't really matter :P

Tsunade's healing abilities shorten her life span.

I actually like the trope.

So why do they still call her Android 18? Shouldn't they be calling her by her original name or at least a new one?

She probably chose to still be called 18. I mean, presumably she had no problem with being called that or they would have stopped using 17/18 as names immediately after killing gero.

"In the new Q&A Toriyama has revealed that after the manga Number 17 later becomes a poacher-hating park ranger at a nature preserve and marries a zoologist with two adopted children."

I love that.

Yeah, this is supported by Goku's dialogue upon transforming. I definitely don't get the impression that SSJGSS is more powerful than SSJG.

Yeah, SSGSS is definitely stronger. In SSJ God form, Goku is only barely able to hang with Beerus at 70% strength. In RoF, Whis says something about how in SSGSS, Goku can rival or defeat Beerus at 70%, and if he and Vegeta were to work together, they could beat Beerus at full.

uh, on the latin dub Whis says Goku and Vegeta could almost beat Beerus if they work together, it does not seem like they are at his level yet. even with a new transformation.

SJGSS is a mess :/

Pretty much.

I know what's been said in interviews and such but Beerus using 70% of his power in BoG throws the whole thing off to me. If SSJGSS is more powerful than SSJG, it has to be by a pretty small degree.

Also, Goku and Vegeta have been training with Whis for the last year. They're stronger than they were in BoG, regardless of the form they use.
