I guess only Gotenks and Gohan can step up... Maybe the one they wanted had to attend some conference... Like, replacing Buu with Chichi isn't gonna be useful. I guess 18 would have been perfect though, not gonna lie.

Beerus could have asked King Yemma to let him borrow Frieza or something.

So it's out !

Spoilers were true ! (SEE)

Kyabe is a NICE saiyan, a reverse take on classic saiyans, pretty fun.

Buu fails the test, they have no replacement for him. Goku almost failed the test.

Goku fights Botamo, owns him completely, chapter ends with Botamo smiling, as if he had a plan despite being overwhelmed.

To wait another month now ...

I'd like to know that as well otherwise
why exclude Buu despite the marketing.

I don't have a translation, but people are saying that they don't plan on bringing in a replacement.
I get the feeling now that everyone on the Universe 7 team will win their fights and then each of them will lose to Hit and we'll have a big final battle between him and Goku.

Aren't Trunks and Goten part of the audience?
Exactly my point! It's time! Rise up chosen ones!!

Ugh!! Well nevermind if true. They literally have a wealth of fighters in the audience!! Are people saying they can't or they wont

I'm expecting something like this, though I would assume the tournament is best 3 out of 5 since Goku is going first. Piccolo will probably lose his match and Goku might lose this first match, but come back and win the final match.

I don't see what's wrong with the robot. Future Trunks' sword already showed that metal and common material can become hard as shit if you imbue them with ki. We also know nothing about his creation so we don't know if he can be re-created.

Because robots are mortal constructs with major limitations. It requires a massive suspension of belief to think that something like that could be strong enough to blow up a planet.

Hmm? Given enough technology anything is possible that seems like a weird argument to make that a robot can't be powerful.

...It's fucking Dragon Ball ffs.

Jesus, is no fun allowed?

Nope.

Look, I get that we're talking about a comedy action/adventure series that's allowed to take certain liberties, and thus doesn't need to be 100% scientifically accurate. But at the same time, we need certain constraints, otherwise if we can make up any shit that we want, then the end result is nothing but chaos. By this point we are no better than the animals we look down upon.

Is that what you want, Fj0823? Are you claiming we're incapable of being more sophisticated than a mere aardvark?

Nope.

I mean regular mortals are able to get as strong as Gods, I honestly don't see a problem with machines doing the same.

Aren't "Dragon Balls" mortal constructs? Objects that summon a large speaking Dragon that can grant almost any wish, like bringing the dead back to life?

Aren't capsules from Capsule corp mortal constructs? Small pill sized objects that can hold entire space ships capable of interstellar travel?

Or what about those World Trade armors that can stretch beyond what would be reason to fit the hosts in any situation?

And Gero's androids were able to manipulate some kind of energy that basically behaves identically to ki and could even convert ki into that.

Why was Gero able to come up with technology like this when even the far more advanced scientists in Freeza's army weren't?

Dragonballs literally involve sorcery though.

Because technological advancement is not linear.
Don't get me wrong, I like the designs, but a part of me wonders if they're actually Toriyama's or maybe Yamamuro's.

Toriyama already said he was designing the characters for this arc.

"Scientists" in Freeza's army? Those were just stealing technologies from conquered species. They never invented shit.

Gero on the other hand is one of most intelligent persons in the universe. Humans tend to be either very dumb or very intelligent (Gero, Brief, Bulma, Oomori, Slump, Gohan).

This series already has precedence for extremely powerful artifical beings like Android 16. And that's with fucking earth tech. I don't find it hard to suspend my disbelief for this robot I know nothing about. Gero really opened the Pandora's Box a long time ago for this shit.

The guy who recreated Freeza (after fought Goku on Namek)?

Well, that's kind of the issue. The argument is that androids like 16 should never have been able to become that strong to begin with.

Because humans are smarter. Bulma invented a fucking time machine.

A machine capable to analyzing its target and absorbing energy, able to destroy a planet is FAR MORE likely, than fucking aliens flying and throwing energy beams out of their ass. Just saying.
