That's not true. Saiyaman was Gohan's lowest point in the show.

?

That is literally the best Gohan's ever been. What are yout alking about.

re: manga junk

I'm predicting that Goku's going to win his first fight. Vegeta's going to win. Piccolo's going to lose. Monaka's going to lose. Goku's going to lose his second fight.

The in-betweens could easily be shuffled, but I definitely feel Goku's gonna go that way.

Goku pretty much has to lose to someone in the tournament since the same person keeps fighting until they lose. In the same way, they won't just get thrashed since the opposite team has to show off other fighters. I'm guessing since Piccolo comes after Goku, Goku'll lose due to being tricked which won't work on Piccolo securing Piccolo a win against one opponent.

Oh, I didn't realize that was the tournament structure. Thought it was one by one. That throws my theory out the window, then!

Just watched the latest episode. I'm going to assume our guys lose because that would get them in Universe 6 and we all know that traversing universes is where this series is heading. Plus, it'd be major motivation for them to train seriously and become stronger. This is even more likely because how the F is Piccolo and Buu going to hang? There's no way.

Vegeta comes second.

I'm hoping Piccolo does get a win in, but if he doesn't get to fight until Goku and Vegeta have already lost, then it's hard to see him pulling it off.

Oh, by the way, we no longer need to spoiler tag the stakes of the tournament anymore since that was talked about in this episode. We can talk openly about the Earth switching thing as well as the Super Dragon Balls, but just remember that most of the details on Universe 6 have not shown up in the anime so be sure to spoiler that stuff.

Well, Piccolo is training with Gohan.
As for Buu... manga spoilers:
he fails the written test required to participate so he's out before the tournament starts. The marketing is a big misdirection right now and it's unknown if anyone can/will replace him.

The tournament structure doesn't really make sense. What's the point of Buu and Piccolo then? They are so far off the rest of the universe 7 fighters that they'd immediately get wrecked by whoever manages to beat Vegeta...

Calling it now: tournament is going to be super short and the real bulk of the story arc will involve something else.

Hit is clearly the bossman of the U6 team, so I doubt he'll be relegated to the tourney alone. Z Fighter... maybe, Goku does seem to beat every villain over to his side except for Freeza and the Androids.

when was the last time we had a tournament that went all the way to completion?

The last episode of Dragon Ball
Please no... there's already enough Z fighters who get ignored.

His design is a little too plain to be a villain, and he's supposed to just be some warrior, right?

Maybe the tournament gets attacked and he is pretty much killed, and Piccolo can absorb him or some shit?

Vegeta comes second.

This is from what I read.

So I'm finally going to start watching this tonight. (I can't believe there's no simulcast!) Aside from the infamous animation flubs, how's the show panning out so far?

23rd Budokai. Z really had no real tournament arc, unless you count the Other Word tournament filler.

That's why I think this tournament will go to the ending. It'd actually make it different from any of the arcs in Z. What might happen is the ending leading to the next arc immediately afterwards, like the 22nd Budokai. The Universe 7 team losing also would work well with that, since then they'd be able to triumph in the next arc immediately afterwards.

exactly I think even those filler ones got interrupted and the spirit one in the Jineba movie (I believe) also got interrupted

I have a feeling we won't see this tournament to the end

"Z Warriors" is something the anime made up right? I kind of doubt it'd be in the manga

Because he's not a DICK

That would be a hilarious thing to witness. Piccolo travels to "new" Namek and just starts absorbing everyone.

"Sorry guys, I need to get stronger. There's a tournament going on."

"NO! I'm nothing like Cell. I'm not" whilst he continues to absorb namekian children.

Piccolo can only fuse with Warrior type Namekians and we haven't seen any of them since Nail.

He also can't fuse with King Piccolo since Piccolo is his reincarnation.

Nail is the most underrated character in DBZ

fun episode, love to see Goku and Vegeta hanging out Beerus cracking up when Champ wanted to fight him was really damn funny.

still can't get over how out of nowhere DB jumped in power level to universe destroyers, guys are so damn strong they literally can't fight each other.

Forgot about the reference to Gohan's speed in BOG. Always like them because it essentially highlights his biggest strength. I hope Super continues with it when he trains. Might be a way to make him more unique compared to Goku and Vegeta.

I always thought his physical strength was his biggest strength. His fighting style doesn't really revolve around long strings of strikes but rather single but very strong hits. Both against Cell and Super Buu.

Pilaf not realizing Goten looks like Goku was literally the worst thing I have ever seen in an anime.

This is not only obvious, IT WAS DONE, in the movie, it's not like whoever decided to remove it forgot about it. That was an actual decision to remove ties with the original Dragon ball and it hurt my soul.

The episode was actually quite fun & it's nice to see the series start to blaze its own trail (& not have to be bound to adapting the films). Hopefully we get the Funimation dub, soon.

Have no idea why they removed that. Why even bother bringing Pilaf back if you remove all ties to the original Dragon Ball lol

They made Champa seem so weak. I thought he was supposed to be somewhere around Beerus's level?
I'm sure he is for the most part.
But he doesn't quite seem like the antagonist to Beerus I thought he'd be.

He can fuse with whoever the writers want him to fuse with.

Yeah. It's weird because I don't think it even mentions who they are. Their TV appearances have also been bad since they removed their actual funny gags like the scene with the gun in favor of 'cutesy' scenes.

I've always had Gohan's fighting style down to speed and it seems to be referenced a bit during the Cell games. Especially when Goku acknowledges that Gohan has been keeping up with his fight with Cell the entire time and his impressive speed when he turns SSJ2.

Even when he's training with Goten, he's dodging stones thrown at him.

Pretty sure most characters in dragon ball can do what he did

I'm not talking about what he did, I'm talking about what Trunks said.
