Don't mind me asking, but why? I understand if people like Piccolo, Gohan, Bardock, Krillin, Master Roshi, Bulma, Tien, even Vegeta. They all did something, there is something to them etc. Pretty much everyone. But Goten did fuck all, like nothing and he isn't interesting as a character. Kid got nothing.

His antics with Trunks are pretty funny, sneaking into the tournement etc.

The animation was super consistent on the models throughout this episode. I only saw one beerus drawing that looked a bit bad. If its like this from now on yes please.

Also the episode was great, goku forgetting king kai lol

But I really have to stop reading the manga. I wish that shit didn't come out first

Hes a fun lovable character to me? I liked the potential he had until toriyama went back on it and him and trunks are a cool team.

Bulma going after dragon balls feels so right. But a universe-wide search for them, sounds familiar...I loved that part in GT, though. I wonder if we will actually see any of her search in Super.

Time for me to actually start watching the show now that there is new content. Newest episode was pretty cool, I like that Bulma isn't taking any chances and acknowledges that Beerus is the goddamn god of destruction.

I still wish I was watching a English dub so I don't have to hear Goku's nasty ass Japanese voice.

Oh man, this was an awesome episode. Vegeta continuing to show he's the smartest person in this show, second only to Bulma.

I see they also finally introduced Bulma's sister in the anime. Maybe Vegeta's bro will show up eventually?

They sure are laying it on thick with the next episode preview that Gohan's gonna come back. I can't believe all the people who lost that bet, haha.

I really do hope Beerus isn't the main bad guy.

The furthest I want it to go is maybe that evil look of his foreshadows something bad he has planned, and somehow Vegeta ends up putting up a decent fight against him, but nothing that completely burned their bridges. Or maybe Vegeta and Goku fuse and kick him around for a bit before they unfuse or something.

I mean, I dunno. I just like the idea of the bulk of the series being Goku, Vegeta, Beerus & co vs the multiverse.

I love Whis, but maybe he can get killed off somehow and that would make Beerus get serious about things and actually form a real relationship with some of the Z squad.

Also, I keep hearing that the 100 episode thing was an unverified rumor, so we don't know if we only have ~70 episodes left.

How are Goku/Vegeta going to collect super dragon balls? Even if they were capable of moving them, they can't breathe in space.

Holy shit, what an amazing episode. Bulma showing why she's still one of the most valuable assets the Z fighters have, and her dynamics on display with Vegeta are the most entertaining they've ever been, we finally get Bulma's sister proper in the anime, and the art in general was on model for the most part. Can't wait to see where things go next.

This and Vegeta covering her ears after Beeru's loud outburst (complete with Vegeta already having made some ghetto earplugs out of napkins) were the best.

Come to think of it, most of the best visual gags in Super involve Vegeta.

Now the show's finally getting interesting now that we're going into new storylines. I'm actually looking forward to the next episode.

Hopefully the Funimation dub is announced, soon. Especially now that the Blu-Rays are starting to coming out.

Nice episode overall, but one problem I have. Why would Beerus need the Super dragonballs to destroy the world?
And wasn't it said in the manga that there are seven super dragonballs spread throughout both universes? Meaning that there are only 7 per pair of universes, not 7 dragonballs per universe?

He said destroy the universe.

Which is weird, i'm not sure why he'd want to do that. I know he's the God of Destruction and all, but where will his fun be after that? He'd be bored as a mofo.

The sub I saw said "world".

And if he wanted to do that, why not already get a head start on it with Earth?

Reread the manga.
Bulma initially thinks that there are two sets there too, but then the sage guy reveals that there's only one set shared by both universes. She still hasn't met him in the anime, so we haven't gotten that revelation yet.

Just watched Chris Stuckmanns new DB Evolution review. Dude was about to burst into tears. And so was I.

Why are you spoiler tagging that? That info from the manga's been out for like 2 months.

edit: and if that's true, then that would make this little sub-plot even more utterly pointless than Ginyugoma.

Is it me or Goku just gets more and more stupid each episode, and the only times when he doesn't it's just to troll Vegeta rotfl

I mean, when Bills told him he's the strongest opponent he's ever faced after Monaka, and Goku is like:"Oh man , did you hear that Vegeta?"

There have been several times we've seen Sayians in space with no protective gear and they've been fine. Inconsistency is the name of the game!

No... Anything the show hasn't covered yet in the manga needs to be tagged. Once an episode airs it can be talked about freely.

Okay, so I confused it with what you said about the anime. Apologies, YER MAJESTY.

To celebrate Gohan's return to glory, I made a thing last night!

Suck it haters!

Boy, I'm gonna be really crushed when he eventually jobs.....

Kind of pissed that they changed his hair again. By the time I saw the preview last night, I was almost done with the pic. Just didn't have it in me to start the hair over.

Also really half assed the coloring, even by my low standard. Wherever, try to better the next time.

I really do love Goku and Vegeta comedy duo, Goku is straight up intentionally trolling Vegeta at this point.

"Wow Vegeta there's two more guys stronger than us isn't that cool!" Wow Vegeta lets talk some more about how all these guys are stronger than us! Wow Vegeta did you hear about that Monaka guy, he"s stronger than us!"

I appreciate people spoiler tagging stuff from the Manga that hasn't happened in the Anime yet. I believe that's the rule here when it comes to spoilers.

this episode was great in that sense.... Whis, Beerus, Bulma, Vegeta, and Bulma together are a enjoyable time

Episode 29

the whole episode was nice... I usually like DB for this sense with new locations and character interactions more so then its fighting

adding the creation of the tournament grounds was good too... give me Cell Games nostalgia.... alas the manga chapters tournament grounds looked more professional with the whole Egyptian theme, while this one felt more so like a create mode generator.

Shenron getting lackey status again was amusing.... Goku forgetting to revive King Kai again is even more lol worthy

Lastly the Beerus twist is interesting.... Let us see what they do with it

So is the tournament just a jumping off point for something a lot more epic? Glad to hear the new plots and animation have improved a lot, still finishing the movie recap related eps.

New episode was great. Really curious whether Beerus has genuine evil intent. Sounds like he might want to destroy another universe. Man does he hate Champa that much? Or is devastation on such a scale simply appealing to a God of Destruction? He's not a good dude lol, so I'm not surprised if he has something fucked in my mind for Super Dragon Balls.
