Vegeta said something like 'this could end badly' when the tournament was brought up so I can see them losing and pissing Beerus off.

No doubt it's goku im actually predicting a vegeta win with everyone else losing or a vegeta and piccolo win goku loses that would make fir some comedy.

Someone earlier asked who is going to job in the tournament, and I too have a feeling it's going to be Goku lol. He's just not taking Pooh Bear seriously, and is going to pay for it. Could be really fucking hilarious too.

On one hand I'll get a good laugh on the other hand at some point they gotta give this man some development we just had him do the exact same thing with frieza.

That's not true. Saiyaman was Gohan's lowest point in the show.

It really wasn't. Dragon Ball Z does some of its best stuff with filler/plots irrelevant to the overall arc.

Saiyaman was great entertainment as you actually get to watch Gohan who's had the most un-normal life ever being thrown into high school.

It's not point based, it's a battle up to the last man standing, which is why Beerus didn't want Monaka to go first and Goku talked about maybe being able to win the tournament by himself.

fuck

when piccolo died he should have went straight to hell and fused with piccolo daimao

boom. on par with super saiyan gods.

When was the last time Piccolo got any sort of power boost? Cell saga after fusing with Kami? I can't remember much from the Buu arc.

His power probably increased some in the post-Cell timeskip. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that wouldn't keep in shape or train for many years.

That was great, loved this episode. So much fun, more of this.

Gohan arrives last minute, tags in and fucks up the entire enemy team after U7 team was losing pretty badly and Goku was the only one left also losing. A man can dream.

Cell Saga was it. Then nothing after. I've always been surprised that of all the characters the big green alien didn't get a transformation. But hey he's dead maybe he does go down and absorb King Piccolo. Surely we'll see and ep about him being wished back right? Even then he should be training with Whis really, the dude can push peoples base forms beyond what everyone thought was possible. Its not like the Saiyans are using Zenkai boosts.

So this was just posted on the DBZ sub-reddit, and I do say it is the only time the Great Saiyaman has been anything remotely good.

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. ;_;7

EDIT:

How come piccolo never just fused with dende and became earths guardian

Why doesn't Piccolo just fuse with all Nameks and become that one character from Multiverse?

Shit add some healing with the nameks regen abilities would make for a nice tactical fight. Doesn't always have to be about power.
I don't think Healing Namekians can fuse with Warrior ones, I'm pretty sure it was already brought up in the series at one point or by AT himself. And yeah sorry its mostly about power these days, technique is long dead.

He trained in the RoSaT after that and was able to stand up to the Cell Jrs, although not beat them (which would place him above 2nd form Cell, while previously he was one shot by 1st form Cell).
This will be the first time in a long while where he seems to be part of the main fighting cast though, rather than being a secondary character.

Oh right, I think I forgot because Piccolo got smashed by Tagoma pretty easily :(

Some random bits from the Toriyama interview in the Super History Book:

"So you didn't plan out the story ahead of time?"
"No"
"Really?"
"No"
"Not even a little bit?"
"No"

Still, Toriyama does say he started thinking of the Freeza arc midway through the 23rd TB. Which we kinda knew, due to the Namekian language

Toriyama: "The series was up in the popularity polls, so I think I realized I likely wouldn’t be able to end it any time soon."

Toriyama's big goal when doing the Freeza arc was to have that scene where Super Saiyan Goku glare at Freeza like Bruce Lee.

"Once Goku gave that look, as far as I was concerned the story arc was over. I was like, 'They have to start fighting now? What a pain!'"

Goku pretty much has to lose to someone in the tournament since the same person keeps fighting until they lose. In the same way, they won't just get thrashed since the opposite team has to show off other fighters. I'm guessing since Piccolo comes after Goku, Goku'll lose due to being tricked which won't work on Piccolo securing Piccolo a win against one opponent.

Well, the 'fight being over' part makes sense. Goku absolutely demolished Freeza after going Super Saiyan with Freeza not even really being able to retaliate even after going 100%.
