Dragon Ball Super |OT2| June 12: Judgment Day

Goku had to be his punching bag to wear him down. Unless Vegeta was actually that much stronger than Goku, he would have had to put in the work against Frieza to get him to that point before being able killing him.

Vegeta came in to finish up Goku's scraps, and Goku ended up saying or nah. I'm just glad Vegeta got to get that beat down on Frieza, but he's not as entitled to that KO as people make it seem like he was IMO.

He still had enough power to blow up the earth, but that's not helping any points.

Vegeta was completely robbed no matter how people wanna hand wave it away. By letting goku take that win he learned absolutely nothing. Vegeta trashed him and was about to blow him away. You guys say he was weak but he was apparently strong enough to instantly blow up the earth

Well to be fair, that doesn't mean much lol. Vegeta could have done that with a 30k PL Galick Gun. All you have to do is detonate the planet core, which I think fighters have been actively trying to avoid since forever in this show. Totally agreed that Vegeta got robbed though, that kill should have been his. Was charging that Big Bang Attack just a bit too long I guess, meh. . .

Yamcha stole that shirt though.

Who wore it better?

Lmao my buddy said the same! He was like dammit vegeta just use a simple blast.

Well look how strong they are. Of course he still had strength to blow up the earth. He wasn't literally dying from getting his ass beat. It's just that his power was quickly fading away. Think of the difference between Golden Freeza and Freeza on his chair during Namek saga. That's a big difference in power, yet the latter is still capable of easily blowing up planets.

I still don't understand how he was robbed of anything. Hell, I doubt Goku was proud of beating Freeza in the manner he was going to before getting lasered. It was only a potential win due to Freeza not having gotten used to his new power. He was probably more excited over the fight itself than the fraud win.

It's so easy for villains to blow up the Earth now with the high power levels. Remember when Kid Buu came out? He tried to blow up the Earth with an effortless one handed ki blast.

Frieza's first form was like less than 1% of his full power and still only needed a small fraction of that to blow up planet Vegeta.

That was always weird to me because it seemed like Frieza had more time to react to Goku flying over to Kamehameha him rather than it just being Vegeta charging up at him.

Goku should have done an instant transmission Kamehameha.

It's like, I can't blame him for wanting to make sure he finishes the job, but yeah regular ki blast would have sufficed, and been no less than Frieza deserved too.
Idk i guess i just expected a nice vegeta moment because toriyama said the next movie would be vegeta focused. There was no for my planet or any moments like that(yes i kno he probably doesn't care anymore but still). This man laid half dead on the floor pouring his heart out because of this guy,his family was killed, his home. So yes it would have been nice to have him take him out. As a matter of fact goku didn't need to fight him at all again. Have them scuffle for awhile than let vegeta go at him if they absolutely need goku to fight every darn time

Vegeta not caring about Planet Vegeta or the Saiyan race at all really is such a disappointment coming from the dub. One of the instances where adding in elements to a character that weren't originally there worked for the better.

A couple questions:

What things are included in the manga or anime that aren't in both of them? I just want to know if it's absolutely necessary to watch the anime pre episode 28.

Do the anime and manga both introduce Champa, and is he in either of the movies? I saw battle of the gods (but I forgot what happened) and I haven't seen Rez of F yet.

30 years of Yamcha, guys

Is there a collection of these somewhere?

I liked the episode with pan when they were fighting over what she would be when she got older. Videl made it clear she loved fighting and thats how her and gohan met so she wouldn't mind thought that was nicely done.

Marriage makes you uncool

Kinda late to the party on this but Videl was the best when she was like this

Great Hair style... good character.... want to train...etc..

when she married something went wrong with everything... her character fell flat too

Her motivation kind of died in that tournament itself, when she saw that she was basically nothing compared to everyone else once they revealed their abilities. Remember, she wasn't fighting in the tournament from the End of Z, so, it's not some Super-only thing.

which is sad.... everything became a Sayain wank fest

other strong species never stood a chance let alone humans

she realized her potential was Yamcha-level at best so she bailed out before being ridiculed a dozen of times.

Thats a lie she tried after that tournament!!

Twintails Videl will always be the best, but I ain't complaining about Super Videl

Super Saiyan Videl ohyes

(but seriously always better than Short Hair Videl, that haircut suggestion is the worst thing Gohan has ever done in the series)

Too bad her character's doomed to disappear though, really wish she could still just keep up the Hercule's Heir thing, and being Great Saiyawoman

That sounds more of a reason for her to push herself even further. Sad, she was great

He should have shot friezas hands off and then give the last blast to vegeta.

Yamcha never succeeded in fighting, but he was a pretty cool guy. Forgave Tien for breaking his leg pretty much right away, tells Trunk about how Vegeta was furious when Cell killed him, told Krillin's daughter that his dad was the most powerful human. Pretty chill guy.
He is also still one of the strongest human on Earth.

I'm interested in what will happen to Goku. He loves to push himself, but also loves fighting. Will he ever reach a strength where he will no longer be able to fight without destroying the universe? Beerus and Champa were already threatening to destroy both universes from just fighting which is why they aren't allowed to fight.

Would Goku give up fighting or training?

Yeah I seen that picture. That's why I want it. For an artist to a cooking manga, Tosh can draw some nice sculpted body and strikes.

Krillin so won indeed. I want to see Tosh draw Bulma.

Didn't he used to draw hentais before he started on Soma? That'll explain his experience with bodies

I Blame Gohan
Videl in Super feels like a completely different character. Her personality is gone. I guess a lot can happen in four years.

kinda seems like the rule for ever female character in dragon ball...

maybe the exception of bulma, if you call whatever it is between her and vegeta marriage

Future Trunks did say they never married in his timeline. could be the same in this one.

also, what would they gain with marriage? Vegeta is already technically Earth's King since he lives with the richest family of the planet and can get anything he wants and needs that would require money.

some countries have laws where people become legally married after living together a few years. maybe it's like that in DB.

Pretty sure they've called each other husband and wife a couple of times.

Even the World Champion tries to call Vegeta-Sun when he needs help.

well, they've lived together for over 10 years. even without having an actual wedding, they're legally married most likely.

also, for some reason, for me it looks like Bulma is the kind of woman that wouldn't mind not having a wedding so i never saw weird that they never had it on screen (if there was actually one)

That's not the type of thing Toriyama would be interested in drawing and writing. Even Goku and Chichi's one was an anime only thing.

Everything in Super has shown that she is the type of Bridezilla person.
