He managed to hit some of them but at the end things turned to shit when they got at him in the car, and it seemed like they swung at one of his right side windows with his own bat. Plus it seemed like that one car to the right might have taken some damage.

A better plan would be to peel out when the guy was on the hood. Then back up knowing that there is a buffer of goons between you and the car behind you.
