hmm. Not sure any examples really sold the controller to me. I can see the value in playing on the TV and then my wife/kids want to watch TV so I switch to the controller, but it almost feels like a solution looking for a problem.

for 3rd parties I can only expect most to be simple HD games (PS3/360 ports, whatever) with the 'switch to controller' mode added.

It also feels quite japanese. Very suited to 'secret' aspects for local multiplayer - look at that 'galactic warriors vs spaceship' example. Sounds cool, but if you're playing online then the different viewpoints doesn't really matter.
