For DICE not to be making it so they can focus on battlefield, but I doubt that's going to happen so maybe they make it an actual competitive shooter instead of a casual experience next time, then I might jump in. I don't see the necessity in them taking that direction.
Good for you if that's what you enjoy, but if the future games are similar to this, I'll just be longing for more battlefield every time they come out. (If DICE makes them)
I don't think Battlefront 2 will have a SP campaign. I mean why would it have one? People have demonstrated that they will buy Battlefront without SP. So why include it, when you can simply use those resources to make another full price game focused on SP instead of creating an additional campaign. Like they are doing right now at Visceral. I would not even be surprised if Battlefield 5 won't have a campaign. It is clear now that EA can get away with it. Welcome to the future.
People complain about Battlefield's campaigns anyway, even with them working on them more. If the flesh of the game is in the multiplayer then I would rather have devs spend the time to make an amazing multiplayer rather than waste time on a shitty campaign. If they can make both great, good, do it. shit like this is the exception; I can't think of a game that would sell a multiplayer only game in the universe and then a single player one.
Though I would prefer some interesting multiplayer/co-op additions in replacement of a tacked on single player. Like I love CoD's campaigns but I damn near wouldn't be upset if they had a game that was just spec ops, multiplayer and zombies in the future.
A game more like the old Battfront's, more like Battlefield where if you see a vehicle you can use it, forget vehicle tokens.bring Weapon customization and customization in general.
More epic battles with some destructible environments

If they can pull off a single player campaign with these visuals and production values... holy shit. That is all I need. Better progression system in MP would be nice as well.
-There are no microtransactions
-What greedy DLC practice? When it comes to post launch support dice does a great job with their season pass
-what's on disk and coming soon isn't actual content?
Thermal Detonators (grenades) part of starting loadout - not tied to level unlock
Jump/Jet pack part of starting loadout - not tied to level unlock
With the more casual nature of this game, I don't think these crucial (in my opinion)upgrades should be behind unlocks.
Flight controls - I thought the ships/planes handled just as poorly as they do in Battlefield. I know some are quite adept at this, but I was really hoping DICE would've modified the flight controls for this game. At a minimum flight controls should look to exceed (in terms of ease and enjoyment) Star Wars Rogue Squadron (N64); something I don't think the game currently does.
This isn't a huge thing, and could be addressed with DLC, but I would love if there was a slightly more powerful, but slower shooting no scope semi-automatic blaster rifle, in the vein of an M1 Garand (MoH, COD) or Battle Riffle (Halo).
I'd also like them to examine how they deliver content post release. More games are looking toward *optional* microtransactions as a way to offset free maps and modes, and I'm a fan of it. Free maps and modes keeps the community together, and I hope more games look towards alternative monetizing plans (such as dlc cosmetics) in order to keep that core content free. I know not everyone likes this type of monetizing plan, but for me, I get more maps for free, and I've yet to purchase a single microtransaction.
In the games I've played, I've never felt the game was unfairly balance towards forcing/rewarding these types of purchases, though I'm aware they have existed in the past.
I don't think every game needs a campaign, and the fact that this doesn't have one doesn't bother me. I don't think they should necessarily feel required to deliver a campaign for a sequel.
Battlefront is that nice meal you get that is sadly still missing something.
It has all the pieces to be great, but just doesn't put them together the way it should.
Even with friends I haven't felt the game being more than alright. Really is something that is better off as a budget buy.
I hope with either the expansions or the next game. They try and give us more of the original Battlefront or try to be more like battlefield. This middle ground they are trying just kind of pleases no one. Everyone I have played with is basically saying "I wish this was like old battlefront". Dunno if anyone else's circles have been like that.
1. Control Point modes need to be large open maps, not this tug of war straight line nonsense.
2. Heroes need to be handled better. Too many times the other team is always finding tokens, while the other has nothing. If the Rebels get a hero, the empire should get a villain.
3. Vehicles being pick ups kind of takes away from their impact. Outside of the AT-STs you're better off ignoring air vehicles, since they really won't help with the match. There also needs to be more variety.
4. Classes need to come back, everyone just feels too similar. So most of the gameplay just turns into who shoots first.
5.Other game modes need some balancing. They can drag on for far too long, hero hunt being a good example.
All in all, a lot of my complaints really just fall back on wanting something more like Battlefront. DICE has the base there for something great, just hope that they listen to the feedback which seems to be pretty strong at this point.
Single player game of the original story. No mp. They can add mp parts to the original bf if they want. I want to play through all three movies, part rpg. Even the slow parts.
Can you imagine exploring the tatoonie city scene, not just the bar. Sneaking through the death star. As a movie, empire is best. As a game, new hope is godly
Don't rush the game, make it deep and give tons of missions in each area that is larger and can afford multiple objectives like mass effect. Make the movie scenes end your current area and progress you. But give warnings this will happen.
For example, give Luke farm missons before you find the Droids. Can play hand solo around the city way before you go meet him to see what he was doing before you meet up. Play as good and the bad guys in each movie. Make each movie a true and long game. Can release them yearly if all possible, just don't short change them
