Yep, definitely looks in-engine though as you can tell by the slight clipping on the fur/feather stuff on the really cool big animal dude.deepbrown said:Looks in-engine. Since it's early i doubt it's playing in real-time on the PS3.

Too many damn retards who don't know what a working title is, early prototype, placeholders, or who cannot recognize a model without textures or proper shaders and think everything they see is like ZOMG FINAL.
This is the kind of video developers never want to show before release because there will be too many retards who can't think and assume shit.

I'm hoping this is a year old and not what will be shown at E3, as I want to see some MORE of it at E3![]()
Hero of Canton said:Ueda doesn't do mo-cap. He mentioned it during interview at Nordic Game last year. They just keep going through different iterations until it looks perfect.
It's not technically a gryphon either - gryphons had the head of an eagle and the body of a lion. This definitely has feline characteristics, though it's more like a domestic moggy than a big cat - which ties in with Ueda linking it to the interactive art installation he created called Tyrant Kitty, which was a series of animatronics which gave the pretense of a giant underground cat when people walked by. And the tail is definitely rat-like.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I saw the Miller's Crossing reference earlier and wanted to add something - the piece of music used is actually called Caoineach Luimnigh, or a Lament for Limerick. It's an old Irish song from around the 17th century.

At least try to enhance your vocabulary with something a little less offensive.

I can really see this "levelling up your creature" mechanic. It seems the kind of 'natural' and believable powerup and levelling mechanic Ueda would go for in what's probably a platformer/adventure game. I like that idea a lot.Willeth said:This is massive speculation on my part, but given how the character is feeding the griffin and how it seems to grow over time - look at the wings when it's swimming - I can see this being a game where you come across it as a baby, find it food and what have you to nourish it and make it grow, which in turn makes it able to get you to other places in the world, which continues until you can escape.
Maybe I just invented a game design of my own, though.![]()

They've only just about trained their monkeys to push the 'upload' button, let alone push the 'copyright infringement omg get it off your site' button!
That...or...they don't mind. *cough*'leak' marketing*cough* If it is a 'leak' to generate buzz, then I'd expect to see it at E3. But if we don't see it at E3, then I guess this really was an unintended leak.

Update: As much as I love this video, it doesn't belong on Gamersyde. You can still see it as it has been posted on youtube inside. If you want to download it, there are many ways to get a video off youtube![]()
