As of posting that link, there is only 14 PS3's available for purchase on eBay for preorder. Earlier today there was a few pages worth of auctions.

A friend of mine that was attempting to sell his preorder online and had his account suspended got this e-mail today after getting his account reinstated:

Dear eBay Member,

Thank you for providing the required information in regard to your
appeal.

I have reviewed the details of this suspension. As a result of this
review, it has been decided to reinstate this account.

Due to the high demand and limited supply of PlayStation 3 products we
are taking stronger measures to protect both buyers and sellers in the
eBay community. This means that sellers who list these products on eBay
must have physical possession of the products at time of listing.

Violation of these guidelines may cause your account to be indefinitely
suspended.

When listing your item there are a few steps you can take to better
protect yourself as well as other members of the eBay community. Please
include an actual photograph of your merchandise. Your User ID should
clearly be displayed in the image. You may also what to include a
photograph of your actual store receipt; just be sure to block out any
personal information such as credit card numbers. If you have purchased
more than one of these items please include a photograph of all of them
together.

It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.

My friend faxed the information eBay asked for last night at 8pm central time and was restored an hour ago. They may be slow for regular e-mail replies, but they got him back up and running pretty quickly.

There was a rumor floating around at some of the videogame stores that it won't... but that later seems to imply that it will once you have the units in your possession.

He never said he did. He just faxed info to have his account reinstated, not the auction put back up. I was actually thinking about doing this with my pre-order since I saw a few go for < $1800 and I don't mind standing in line in nov. Oh well, I'll just keep my pre-order, no biggie.

He doesn't, the appeals e-mail only asks for a copy of the receipt of the preorder to get reinstated.

No, but if you've read the previous threads (and retard rodeo gaming "blogs") people were thinking that it was because of a rule eBay has where you cannot post a pre-order auction more than 30 days before the item ships. Within 30 days of the ship date is fine for eBay pre-order auctions.

Yeah- I'm seriously thinking about waiting in line for a PS3 in order to sell it online. That would bring in some serious cash.
