Miyazaki said he is the main director and he is fully involved with the game. Why do you care so much about his assistant?
4Gamer:
So I think there’s a bit of concern, or should I say "worry," among fans about just how much you can be involved in the day-to-day development while also serving as the president of the company. You are definitely the director on Bloodborne, right? Not a producer or anything?
Miyazaki:
Yes. On Bloodborne, I am 100% the director.
4Gamer:
Oh, that sure is a relief! But are you able to keep up your presidential duties at the same time?
Miyazaki:
Yeah, I’m getting by. I learned a lot from developing Dark Souls, so I have another person at the director level supporting me on this project, and I’m finding a way to make things work.
Do you have a link to where he says he is the "main director" ? He says he is the director but there is someone else assisting at the director level. I doubt the other person will have a different credit than "director". I am just curious really.
Bloodborne details:
Think this is new stuff
Killing enemies causes blood to splatter on the protagonist which seemingly restores health, however absorb too much and you become more difficult to control
Concern trolling. Why do you care so much about his assistant?
how the heck are we supposed to get through this then? especially with the game demanding you to play aggressively...

Yes, looks like I'm going to play most of the time with diminished capacities.
Are we sure sure it's exclusive tho?And so it begins once again in a Sony exclusive thread.
Let's start complaining about this assumed and imaginary flaw!!!

Looks like you skipped the part about, "I am 100% the director." Doesn't get much clearer than that.Do you have a link to where he says he is the "main director" ? I don't think they were complaining. More like begging for mercy ahead of time. And so it begins once again in a Sony exclusive thread.

Bloodborne details:
Think this is new stuff
Towns folk stalk the game world killing those who have turned into the warewolf style enemies
Also means you can no longer memorise their locations with the world
Killing enemies causes blood to splatter on the protagonist which seemingly restores health, however absorb too much and you become more difficult to control
Shotgun can be used while your stamina recharges
Sword weapon has secondary attack when folded which can break enemies shield
Game looks really good in the screens some concerns about the frame rate though, well we saw that in the leaked video to be fair.
Btw there's screens I haven't seen before and some artwork as well this info is from a hands on.

I still want to know who the second director is. I really hope miyazaki is not frequently absent due to other responsibilities.
There's a second director? Is there really any reason to worry though? I mean, the game has been in development since just after Artorias launched, which is well over two years now. Miyazaki was only promoted to president a few months back.
well pardon me for trying to have a discussion on the game's mechanics based off current information.
but yeah, go ahead and accuse me of complaining (like i obviously do in every sony exclusive thread), even though i've had this game pre-ordered since E3.
I like you GribbleGrunger, but your comment was pre-mature and immature in this case.

You are right. I apologise.
Sometimes I can be a complete eeediot.
And, hopefully, other players you see online. From what they said about the NPCs, that you'd see some of them just fighting, and it's up to you to kill/save/ignore them, they might do something similar for online.well it takes a strong character to apologize, especially on the internet. so i appreciate it![]()
back to business...from what i can tell,
killing enemies = blood splatter on you = health
too much blood splatter on you = become infected/turn into beast?
killing humans (like NPCs that were mention in E3 demo) = returning back to human
that what i'm speculating from the info so far.
"Borne", as in "carried" or "transported".
borne (bɔːn/)
suffix: -borne; adjective: borne
carried or transported by the thing specified.
"waterborne bacteria"
Nothing to do with "born" actually, it comes from "bear".
A disease transmitted through blood.
Borne is its own word.
Yep as others have said, Borne spelled this way means 'carried'
A disease carried in the blood, is a Bloodborne disease.
edit: on topic, the Edge cover looks awesome! When is it out?
I admit, Bloodborne isn't exactly an eye catching name for what's going to be a super amazing gothic action rpg. I wish they gone with something else.
i feel the complete opposite here lol. I think the Bloodborne name is brilliant.

Are we certain it's an exclusive?
Are we sure sure it's exclusive tho?
english question, why E at the end of born ? what does it mean ? Is it the way you spell the word when you want to say it's born from blood ? Bloodborne ?
I'm a bit behind on Bloodborne news. Did the ever confirm if there is that is the single pre-made protagonist or will character customization be making a return?
