Jeff-DSA said:Hmmm, maybe we should all just realize that E3 has a whole was a dissapointing C grade. I honestly felt that only the DS was above average while the rest were sub-par showings with the occasional bright spot.
JJConrad said:My report card would be:
PS2 - B It had the most games that were more than just filler. Nothing super-great, but very good.
GCN - C+ Somewhat lacking, as always, but it atleast had a clear GotS contender.
Xbox - D It was pretty clear that MS as no intention of supporting that system beyond this fall.

Doom_Bringer said:PS2 is A- because it has many exclusive games. Gamecube only has 1 good game that comes out in the winter and even that won't appeal to the non Zelda fans.

My E3 observations, more valid than most because my brain is huge and my wit is vast:
PS2: A+. The PS2 is the greatest gaming console of all time, displacing the PS. This simply cannot be argued, and anyone to attempt such a ludicrous contradiction will be banned. The lion's share of new, original content is here. BUY A PS2. Now. Buy another, if you have to. If the DC had to die so that such heights of videogaming greatness could be achieved, so be it.
Xbox: D. Time for retirement, my young and portly friend. You've served us well, and now it is time to go gently into that good night.
PSP: C. Brilliant hardware can't salve a lackluster E3 showing. What was Sony thinking?
Gamecube: B-. Zelda and Fire Emblem rock. Everything else is strictly fanboy-only trash.
DS: D. Some potentially great games hobbled by inferior 1997-era hardware. Really just a waste of everyone's time and energy. New Super Mario Brothers saves it from an F.
GBA: C. Still tickin'. Keep on marchin', little soldier!
These scores are objective and indisputable. Period.

Drinky Crow said:Castlevania -- ROCK SOLID SEXHURT, this will indeed own
New Super Mario Bros -- gonna ROCK!
Mario & Luigi 2 -- gonna ROCK!
Thats' 3.5 decent games, Alright, that's 2.5 more than the Xbox, so I'll bump my score to a D+. Congratulations; it's a rare man that changes Your Lord Drinky Crow's mind!
Drinky Crow said:Mario Kart -- rehash, gimme any PSP racer with decent graphics over it
Advance Wars -- marginal upgrade, I'll still buy it because I'm a sucker for the series
Goemon -- kooky wai wai mascot crap like every other Goemon title; only mouth-breathing otakoids revere this C-grade series
Metroid Prime Hunters -- you better not be serious, this shit wouldn't fly in 1995 much less now; even Quake was more ambitious
Meteos -- a middling puzzler with novelty controls; I'll stick with the classics
Sonic Rush -- more fanboy-hyped mediocrity; Sonic games were never classics, and the dual screen is a pain on the eyes
Kirby -- already own it and have dismissed it as "eh"
Nintendogs -- 1 out of 5 in a forthcoming magazine review
Animal Crossing -- it's great, if you're a little girl or a manchild
Nanostray -- mediocre Euro shooter; had my fill on the Amiga
Lost in Blue -- more kooky crap with sloppy execution hailed by fanboys disenfranchised by modern genres
Castlevania -- ROCK SOLID SEXHURT, this will indeed own
Viewtiful Joe DS -- a middling platformer gets a massive, massive graphical downgrade
SBK: Snowboard Kids DS -- what the fuck, you musta bought a LOAD of crap games for your N64 along with Turok
Trauma Center: Under the Knife -- might be cute if it lets you get all psycho
Harvest Moon DS -- great if you're an overweight high-school girl
Jam with the Band -- more fruity subpar alterna-genre shit for the Japanese-obsessed dweeblets that populate this place
ElectroPlankten -- not too bad for a ball of tinfoil or a snowglobe; call me when it hits $2.99 at Bartell's
Jump Superstars -- like the lineup, hate the gameplay
New Super Mario Bros -- gonna ROCK!
Mario & Luigi 2 -- gonna ROCK!
Trace Memory -- PCs have been doing vastly better adventure games since the 80s
Thats' 3.5 decent games, Alright, that's 2.5 more than the Xbox, so I'll bump my score to a D+. Congratulations; it's a rare man that changes Your Lord Drinky Crow's mind!
