Oh shit, Maths-Age makes a return.
Done with a little more attention to detail..
PS2 & PS3: 1.29M * 0.39 = 503,100
Total revenue: 304M * 0.47 = 142.88M
PS3 sold 165,000 on launch week. I'd say all but an insignificant amount sold at full price.
So, 165,000 * 425 = 70.125M which leaves 72.755M left.
After launch, prices dropped online and in some shops. More and more shops reduced the price, but the sales for PS3 after launch remained heavily front-heavy, so I'd say after launch. But most probably went to the cheaper shops, which is a possible reason why other shops followed suit and dropped their price. I'd guess PS3 sold for an average of about 408 quid each after launch week.
x = PS3 sales
y = PS2 sales
408x + 95y = 72.755
x + y = 0.5301
y = 0.3601 - x
408x + 95(0.3601 - x) = 72.755
408x + 34.2095 - 95x = 72.755
313x = 38.5455
x = 0.12315
Which is in millions, so it's 123,150.. then add on the 165,000 and it makes 288,150 PS3s...
Edit: At the same ratio as launch, this puts "Other" at ~1.05 million.
