Enemies In Gaming That Make You Go "Nope!"

Annelid Arachnids, the spiders so despised, the patch to remove them also made them, as Jocke put it

invisible, completely silent, slower then your average dead slug, have one (1) hitpoint, have weapons that make no damage AND they are on the Good team so any other AI's around will slay them

The first time i saw these things, i run back to the Lamp. Closed Bloodborne and played another game for like a week.

Also, that room full of hanging spiders in Mensis.

In the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne. If you clear a mini-boss in a room, sometimes when you go back, there'll be a flea/bloodlicker waiting for you in the darkness. The first time it happens is terrifying/disturbing.

The moment I heard the chainsaw go off in Resident Evil 4 I was like "nope". It just sounded so fucking loud and threatening that when he started running towards me with it I panicked and got killed pretty fast, put the game down for a bit after that lol. Came back to it and got over it but man that first time felt crazy.

No way. They jump on you, they do big damage, they can easily wear out your stamina and break your guard. You basically have to beat them before they can attack. They're pretty dangerous for a standard enemy.

Of course generally you just run straight through Tomb of the Giants.

Really? I thought were the hardest enemies in the game if you fight melee.

FROM should make Gravelord Nito summon these guys on NG+ if they do a current-gen remaster of Dark Souls.

Oh really? Maybe I'm alone in this then? I don't like magic builds, and while I agree that it's definitely a dangerous enemy, I didn't have much trouble with them with a strength based melee build. I just found them to look a lot more threatening than they really were.

You're right though, everyone just runs through the Tomb of the Giants.

Ugh those P.T gifs. The twitchy and jerky movement reminds me of this Horror movie 'Jacob's Ladder. Freaky.

Bloaters in TLoU freaked me out, especially in that
hotel basement

Those spiders in the Nightmare of Mensis....nope. I am not an arachnaphobe at all, other video game spiders do not bother me at all, real spiders do not bother me at all. But these....the way they twitch and move while hanging, when they are on the floor, they skitter. Not crawl, but skitter. Yeeech.

Other than that, any sharks, and I have old childhood baggage related to the xenomorph that Alien Isolation exploits perfectly. Can't deal with sharks though.....

When I saw these for the first time I froze. Fucking centipede/milipede looking assholes. Gonna wake up one morning and find one crawling on me eew eew eewwwwwwwwww

The Bloodborne enemies that do this in the Chalice Dungeons.

I was going to post that but i was too scared.
fuck them all to hell and back. I dropped my controller the first time i encountered one cause literally no other enemy in the game moves that fast. I still jump whenever i come across them in the dungeons. Its just creepy AF moving that fast.

Edit: and now the actual gif was posted below FUUUUUU

Zombi U has an electric zombie with big bolts of electricity coming off of him. First and only time I have seen it, I turned around and ran like hell for the nearest door. I was afraid to go back for some time. Hours later i ventured back that way and it was gone. Knowing that it'll probably pop up again when I'm least expecting it is pretty unnerving.

Lisa in PT and Black Headcrabs in HL2. Anything else I'm generally cool with.

Oh and those damn bird things in Morrowind - can't remember their name.
