Was too small to actually fullfill the potential .... but I liked the Artists

Needed more jokes about nobody knowing who Donatello is =P

I agree. Good idea. Decent execution for what was there, but damn, the Turtles got shafted on time there.

Considering their were eight rappers, I expected an epic finale like last season. The Russian battle is still the finale GOAT.

With that said, I still liked it. I thought the flow was good, even if the verses weren't as devastating as usual. The second half of the season totally redeemed the first half. I honestly wonder what happened during the break, it is like they leveled up or something.
 
One of their best concepts, but like others have said here, really fell flat and was waaaaay to short. Turtles also disappointed.
 
8 rappers, less then 1 minute and 30 seconds of actual rapping content. Pretty bad. Had some good lines though, but overall it was weak.
 
Yeah it would have been decent for mid season filler but Russia was so much better. Best of this season for me is Scrooge. "Properly rockin the monopoly mustache" and "God bless us WHO WON!" just class all the way through. Even the Donald was decent but was perfect as a fake out.

On topic: I don't think it's any coincidence that several of the best rap battles (Einstein vs. Hawking, Gates vs. Jobs, Newton vs. Bill Nye) are nerdier concepts based around science or tech icons. A lot of times the battles that fall flat just seem to be the result of poor lyrics or a rather flat beat. Shame since I was pretty excited for the George Washington vs. George Wallace battle before I watched it.
 
Really underwhelming finale.

They should have had each artist rap against their respective turtle and then a quick one with the group rapping against each other at the end.

Just no time to do eight different rappers justice with how short this was. Especially when the intro took up so much time.
 
Very bad finale. Too short, too boring

Should have been Pele vs Maradona vs other football giants. Would have fit well with the end of the World cup

Damn a World Cup one could have been amazing
Honestly though the sheer lack of rap content from the Turtles makes me think this was just some marketing thing to do with Bay's film

they were upfront about it when they did the assassins creed one, so I'd be surprised if that was the case
 
They've started advertising on the daily show and the colbert report. They're becoming pretty big, even if its online only (since i only watch it online i don't know for sure).

Although right when a season is ending seems like a bad time to start hyping it. People will just binge watch and then forget about it.
 
What a great season. Once again some of the best beats and raps to be found in music anywhere again.

I agree that this finale was wayyy too short. Last season's RU finale was killer.

I'm glad they're really getting popular. I would have to wonder how long it'll take for Google/YT to just flat out pay these guys already, or spot them for the sets/props/clothes.

Oh well, bring on Vader vs. Hitler part 4. Seriously, can't get enough of those lol.
 
The finale definitely needed to be longer, and the Turtles' segments were just OK, but the Artists' segments was awesome so it mellows out for me.

They're making a ton of money via page views and advertising revenue.
 
Season 3 overall has been kinda so-so, although there have been some winners: Newton/Nye and King/Poe. Blackbeard vs Capone was pretty decent too.

Man, I hope they don't do another Vader/Hitler. I think the well is dry on that one. I'm sad the season is over, as I felt like they were on a hot streak.
 
Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters vs Hitler's Ghost seems way too obvious. It's not so much a hint as that they are bashing you about the head with it with a proton pack.
 
The production quality is great, the actors are excellent; but the quality of the raps, writing, and music once again continues to fall.

Can't wait to hear what Adam Savage thinks of it.

Also great first ep. Hope they keep it like this and not as the last season that was a rollercoaster of good to awful to meh.

Pretty much, but the Discovery Channel, and ghetto lines made me smile. It's like they scared to go hard.

They are worse than post lasers Lupe.

Lyrics weren't too bad imo. Not every concept is going to be loaded with enough material to have really hard hitting material. The beat was a poor selection though. They really need to stick with harder beats to facilitate that angry feel.
