[EU] PSN January Sale is now live

I'd be tempted at that price. I bought it day 1 and really enjoyed it. If you like FP horror titles like the Dead Island/Dying Light games then you'll absolutely love it.

It's definitely not the definitive port TBH as it's missing a lot of cool features from the original but if you don't have a Wii U then I'd 100% grab it.

I'd not however recommend trying to blast through it too quickly, as it got a little tedious for me and had to put it on the back burner for a few weeks before picking it up again.

As I said, if there's no other way you can play it and are curious about the game the PS4 version faults can be overlooked. The core game is still very solid even without the gamepad elements.

Thanks guys! I think i'll go with FC4 for this sale.

Standard is £44.99, Gold is £59.99

SOMA is showing as £15.49 for me on the PS4 and web store.
Where are you located?

Standard Edition is 399 NOK (£30) here (Norway). Gold Edition is 599 NOK (£45).

Weird. Didn't know that the prices were that different between countries.

I'll probably get Far Cry 4 and Soma when the store's up again.

Tales of Borderlands good for £6.50?

I know most of you will say yes, but of all the episodic games, I only liked The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead Season 1. Life is Strange was ok and the rest were terrible.
I played Borderlands 1 and 2 but had zero care for the characters or world...

the world and characters are developed rather separate from the mainline games and a looot more in depth and in more interesting ways. So not caring in 1 and 2 doesn't say much about this one.

It is more of a comedy though rather than the heavy stories of TWD and TWAU so consider if you'd be up for that.

Before I played it I thought I wouldn't be but it was a very pleasant surprise!

Ohhh, €8 for Tales from the Borderlands.

Guess I'll get that one and wait for Life is Strange to be on sale. I'm not in a hurry.

And episode 1 is free, so if you're not sure if you want to buy, play episode 1 for free. You have until the 22nd to decide if you want to buy it.

Tales from the Borderlands is really good even for those that have no interest in Borderlands. This is coming from someone with no interest in Borderlands.

Game of Thrones is the one you should avoid like a plague..

so how is far cry 4 for 18€?

Bought it day one. Pretty much Far Cry 3 in Tibet. Story is pretty good, usual Ubisoft side quests, boring as fu*k. Large map, lot of random events. For 18€, if you are not tired of Ubisoft open world games, you're in for 15/20 really good hours .

so how is far cry 4 for 18€? (ive never played a single far cry)

The biggest issue people had with 4 was that it was a bit too similar to 3 in some places. If this is your first you should really enjoy it. It is very much an Ubisoft sandbox game though, so if you've touched Assassins Creed lately it is very close to that in terms of campaign progression (albeit in first person). It is a much more carefree game than Assassin's though, and not afraid to have fun with its mechanics.

Also....

Has a full list of the new deals been posted yet? Also, did they add any PS3/vita games?

The online store and console storefront were both updated, but all the new deals were mixed in with the olds one so they are hard to sift through.

No blog post was made yet

£6.50 for Tales from Borderlands.. I guess its time. It's never been cheaper in previous sales has it?

I don't think so. I really enjoyed TWAU and TWD S1, so I'll probably get this too as it's had a lot of acclaim, despite me not having played the Borderlands games.

I'm tempted by SOMA too, but I've got such a big backlog and I haven't even touched The Escapists which I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Soma at that price for sure.

Flip-flopping on tales of borderlands. I really dislike the borderlands games but ive heard that this is telltales best game yet.

How long will the second sale last?

Will definitely buy...

Driveclub Bikes

Probably also...

Assassins Creed Unity

There are probably a ton of LTTPs, but I just wanna short answer - the bugs are fixed, how is it running now on the PS4?

Edit: Uh, or Far Cry 4. Played 3, though. Hmm.

I would get Far Cry 4 over Unity as Unity is a bad game regardless of content. It is basically an annoying shopping list of things to do, and the core game is not as fun as it once was. Assassin Creed Syndicate fixed some of these issues, but I am thankful Ubisoft have decided to take a year off.

If this screenshot is exciting to you, you might enjoy Assassin's Creed Unity...

If it instead fills you with dread, and you wonder why they needlessly packed every end of the map with items for next to no reason, they you will probably burn out on the game before finishing it.

Fuck. I literally bought Soma yesterday... Sony wouldn't do a part refund for something bought less than 24 hours prior would they?

Does anyone know what kind of story stuff Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend has in it? I know the previous Blazblue on Vita had a shortened version of the other Blazblue games story in it, so I was wondering if Chronophantasma sums up the other games as well.

Is the Back to the Future game worth playing at that price? Seems the reviews were middling.

If you're a fan of the movies then I'd say it's a must play. I very much enjoyed it but bare in mind it isn't anywhere near as polished as Telltale's later games. It can be clunky as hell to control and it sometimes does show that the game was originally released 5 years ago.

Ah well I've contacted them, will hold out a little hope given all I've spent on PSN over the years :P

While I have heard many horror stories of PS CS, and experienced a few first-hand. I've also heard the odd story about them refunding when they're not technically in the wrong. Here's hoping that's your experience.

Does it play like TWD/TWAU etc, or is it a point and click adventure?

Yeah it's worth a shot, I've never asked about a part refund before. Guess I've always been lucky enough not to miss out in such a short timeframe. Timestamp of purchase is like 16 hours ago, last night at 8pm after reading GAF praise SOMA :P It has been excellent so far.

It plays like TWD etc but it's just a little more clunky. You still freely control your character with the left stick but don't have an independent "pointer" to interact with objects and have to sort of manoeuvre yourself into a position in order to highlight stuff. It can be a little frustrating but it's not a deal breaker.

Also I found some of the "puzzles" to be annoyingly vague.

Part 2 is interesting, wondering about the following games:

1) Is far cry 4 gold edition complete? Or would I be missing some dlc?
2) How is the ps4 port of Zombi?

Interested in those games.
