Can't wait for SFV, hoping Bonchan takes it this year, I don't know, I just like him. Would be insane if he did it with Sagat, not holding my breath though.

Stoked to see Infiltration back in action for SamSho! :messenger_sunglasses: I eagerly await his return to the CPT in 2020.

In for all the Samurai Shodown. Only hard skip is BlazBlue Tag. Will watch the other top 8s but I cant say they have me that excited. I usually skip smash but if a Belmont makes it in I'll watch.

Finally a game that requires skill!

I'll be checking Street Fighter in full.

MK and Tekken I'll dip in and out for the pools but mainly the finals I'll watch in full.

Tried watching some SamSho but finding it boring...=P

Ready for some Soul Calibur VI.

Should be a reveal of the last DLC character also (Cassandra). Rumored Sam Sho crossover content too. Not sure how legit that is, but that's what the SC boards are talking about.

I will probably watch the MK 11 and Vampire Savior. Pretty sure Sonic Fox will win MK 11 but I would like to see someone else.

I read in a Samsho article that they are considering franchise crossovers, I didn't hear anything about SC though. I had heard Baiken from GG thrown around, who would be an awesome fit I think.

Wait, last character is Cass? What happened with Hwang from the old leaks?

man, SS stream is rough. Way too many breaks and the few matches being run are mostly poor.

That's basically every game in pools.

I'm watching Tekken and these pool plays are mostly embarrassing to watch.

I'll get flamed for saying this but ppl who don't really know how to play a game and sign up "for fun" or " I'm here so I may as well try" ect. are just wasting everyone's time, especially for those that are serious about playing in a tournament.

I mean at some point you have to get out there and throw yourself into the fire, get some tournament experience. Isn't that part of the appeal and idea of Evo? Anyone who comes can compete?

Yeah, but there are clearly ppl who don't care about any of this. I don't know maybe they sign up for joke or for getting caught in camera.
I've seen a fight where both dudes didn't know any basics of Tekken like if both of them played half an hour of it before the tournament. That kind of level. I noticed the commentators probably also felt this and avoided talking about whatever "that" was all about.

All this "throwing yourself into the fire" is obviously valid but not for ppl who don't take any of this seriously.

Ok yeah sure that is a bit much lol, I'm not sure I've ever seen matches like that. I tend to miss live tournaments any only catch the top players anyway.

Evo is that one tournament where everyone has a crack at it, no matter their skill level. It's always great to see an unknown come out of nowhere and drop big names. Sure there are always people who are horribly outclassed in the early stages of pools, but it's never long before you start to see good matches plus, without all those players that enter for fun or the experience, the prize pool wouldn't be as big for the winners. For me, it's all part of the Evo stream watcher experience. I'd like to think if I ever made it the trip out there that I would try my luck, and I'm shite.
