SF5 bumping SF4 doesn't make any sense if Melee and Smash 4 are both going strong.
They overlap is not even close to the same. Literally no top SF4 players will be playing the game anymore.

Is the version of Pokken the arcade or Wii U?
How the fuck are they even going to play Pokken. Competitive scene for that game died as soon as they announced it didn't have splitscreen.
Unless they use arcade cabinets that no one has any practice on. That's like having a demo tournament as a main game at EVO.
Dumb. But whatever. I doubt it gets played on Sunday and exposure will be secluded to some Nintendo stream. Will likely have some of the least entrants.
And still more popular than most games on that list. Instead let's give room to 3 Nintendo party games.

Pokken does look absolutely trash from everything I've seen from it. Anyone have hands on impressions?

I haven't heard a single positive thing about it.

In 2016, EVO is one third Nintendo games
In 2016, EVO has more Nintendo games than Capcom games.
Let me know what top players will be touching SF4 after FEB16, and not focusing on SFV and the CPT. Let me know, I'll wait.

SF4 players are moving to SF5.
Melee and Smash 4 players are completely different communities.

Capcom still has more characters in games though (4/9).
All opinions are my own
Street Fighter players are moving because they're SF players, not USFIV players. Melee players play Melee. Not Smash as a whole. This is one of the many reasons the game's out of the ordinary. Are they? If they are, is it just because tournaments are replacing 4 with 5? If Melee ceased to have a tournament scene, would most of the Melee community just migrate to Smash 4? I think it's a tad bit ridiculous that there supposedly isn't room to support 2 street fighter games. It was just as shitty when 4 came out and TOs stopped supporting 3rd Strike.

Which means you haven't heard anything.
Well that's an unexpectedly cool feature to include in this day and age.It has LAN. That's how they're running it. Two monitors, two Wii Us, two copies of Pokken.

And what have you heard? And what have you heard? I'm interested. The Pokemon fan in me wants this game to be good, but it looks like utter garbage, and nothing I've heard disputes that.
Street Fighter V
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Mortal Kombat X
Killer Instinct
Guilty Gear Xrd R
Pokken Tournament
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
Tekken 7 FR
No USFIV
Wow. UMvC3 again? Pokken is really boring and Tekken 7 isn't even out. Other than that all others were expected.
oh man that's beautifulStreet Fighter V
Super Smash Bros. Melee

Mortal Kombat X
Killer Instinct
Guilty Gear Xrd R
Pokken Tournament
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

No USFIV
Well, none now that USFIV isn't going to be at Evo. Kind of a ridiculous question to ask.
If it was at Evo? I'm pretty sure plenty of pros would touch it. 8 years of practice just doesn't go away because you picked up the sequel. And USFIV would have more entrants at Evo then the majority of that list if it was there this year.
What did Genesis 3 do?Mike "next question " Ross.
Great lineup. Glad to see Genesis 3 setting the bar for all future tournaments.
Well that's an unexpectedly cool feature to include in this day and age.
But really I don't think anyone plans to really take that game seriously. That's like a Naruto or DragonBall Z game getting in.
