But it didYep. Rust like in Fallout universe makes tons of sense. Interested now. Hate teasers that doesn't give any clues of what the game is about.
A persistent online RPG? By Bethesda?
What could possibly go wrong???
Yep, I preordered it and have since cancelled. An online game, which is a wonderful way to ruin a morning.

I really like the idea of a fallout survival game as long as the online component is semi optional. I need to be able to make a private or friends only game and I'll be good. I'd actually love for a couple buddies to join me in the wasteland reclamation project!
Yup, just copy Ark and allow single player/small co-op settings. And I highly recommend split screen co-op if they can do it. Or at least have it as an option on PS4 Pro/Xbox 1 X. Such an awesome option on Ark, it can't be overstated how cool it is to play a split screen co-op survival game like that.
So Vault 76 is the vault that first opened right after the war, so it's the first one to rebuild, hence. survive. Seems fitting.
Wonder if there will be intermittent feral rampages like State of Decay 2 =P.
Split screen would be fantastic!
It sounds like it will take place much closer to the war than the last couple of games so the area might be much more barren. I am thinking something like the vault being your home but your supplies are low and you need to start foraging? Getting out of the vault for the first time is always an iconic moment in these games.
I can definitely imagine hoards of ghouls or something similar as well as raiding parties.
Not all vaults were designed with experimental purposes. Vault 76 is one of seventeen known "control" vaults, meaning that it was used as a baseline to compare to experimental vaults. Vault 76 housed 500 occupants and was programmed to open to the wasteland outside 20 years after a nuclear war. According to the Vault-Tec Terminal in the Citadel, Vault 76 is located somewhere in Washington D.C.,[1] likely in the outskirts or outlying areas as it does not show up on the Capital Wasteland map.
Yeah Vault 76 is the first vault that opened 20 years after the war. That seems...early. So I imagine some Metal Gear Survive like radiation field/hazmat gear required. Things will probably be in total chaos, which makes it a perfect time for a survival game. It's quite fitting.
Wonder how the Enclave will figure into this game, if at all (I'd have to re-read the history on that).
Also, it takes place in Capital Wasteland/DC per the wiki:

I sense asset re-use. Maybe the reason for re-mastering Fallout 3, lol.
Asset re-use makes a lot of sense here. I hope this does mean a fallout 3 remaster is still coming to current consoles, I have been wanting to play it again. Keeping my fingers crossed for a PSVR version too.
You was trolling right?Yep, I preordered it and have since cancelled.
But it did
it just works !After Skyrim PS3 i will never play another Bethesda game on console...

What? All those games exist.Online/ multiplayer?
No thanks.
Give me Oblivion, Fallout and New Vegas and I'm set for years. Please.
What? All those games exist.
Remastered in 4k (without bugs too!!)... All I want is more single player that is all.
No I weren't.You was trolling right?
I don't believe you.No I weren't.
Those all exist, just not on consoles. I'll never understand why anyone would even consider playing Bethesda games on consoles. Especially when that means you don't get script enhancers, graphical mods, community patches and custom content ranging from simple texture mods to larger projects like DUST, Tamriel Rebuilt, Skyrim Home of the Nords, Project Nevada, A Tale of Two Wastelands and even total conversions like Enderal. They're not even difficult to run, even at 4K.Remastered in 4k (without bugs too!!)... All I want is more single player that is all.

Once when we wanted to play Fallout 3 / Fallout New Vegas with the posibility of multiplayer by roaming, killing each other or funny moments and few modders manage to do that in afterwards seen on youtube videos, now we don't like to play online. :/
I want to know what is about, how it looks. I want to see it.
Without knowing what this actually is, the idea of a co-op Fallout game with base building sounds awesome to me.Why are so many people against the online part of fallout 76? We need variety and the fallout universe is perfect for games like this. I am excited to learn more, I have waited years for an online fallout game to play with my friends.
If it's true and if they ban free modding without giving tools to the community like Creation kit, then there is no point to buy Bethesda game anymore for PC users.Rumors going around that they'll be removing mod support from the game and using the "over 18's mods" you see as an excuse so the can push creation club. Creation Club will be safer for them to keep an eye on what created and obviously charge people money.
If this is true why didn't they just contact nexus mods and say they don't agree with those mods and they will remove mod support for future games unless you stop posting "over 18's mods". Problem solved IMO but it's not about that it's about their Creation Club not being able to compete with free mods simple as
if its some persistent online world... why would they keep mods? Like... sure community content is one thing but why would they keep mods? I dont understand how people actually are disappointed or even had this sorta expectation for a multiplayer game
