Konami is about to become the 2nd best selling publisher of 2020,
Momotaro already shipped over
1 million, with the three biggest weeks of the year still to come they will surpass
900K physical sales in 2020.
There will also be a huge update for games that are outside of the Top 30 when the Famitsu Top 100 for 2020 releases, game numbers that haven't been updated in months like
Mario & Sonic, Taiko, Luigi's Mansion 3, Paper Mario, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, One Piece, DQXIS,
Fitness Boxing etc will get a considerable boost since they've been selling steadily outside of the Top 30 and in the holiday should get a boost adding in some cases
30-50K units to their final totals. I don't remember when exactly Famitsu releases their Top 100 but we will see something around 20% growth in Market Share for the Switch YoY, as a lot of the smaller caliber games continue to sell on the system well after their launch.
Overall no game in the Top 50 will be below
110K sales, the #50 in 2019 sold
81K which will probably be the floor by Week 51.
I think the overall sales for this year will be over
23 million. A huge spike compared to the
17.5 million last year and great momentum heading into 2021, which will be the peak year for Software for the Switch.
