Fate of the Furious trailer

I love these movies. But. There's no conceivable way I'm believing Don turns on everyone. Doesn't matter what the circumstances are. So I'm not sure why they're going this route.

I know these movies are hyper ridiculous and one character has already come back from the dead and recovered from amnesia but I'm having trouble with that too. Even if he was under distress or you threatened his family, he'd just go "Eh, crew. We gotta fuck these people up." If something was too dangerous, he could tell them to step back. I'm just bracing myself for some bullshit with the motivation for the heel turn.

The required viewing is: One, Three, Five, Six. All others are optional but recommended.
For me still only the first that's a good, serious film. They are different enough by hour that they arent the same movie. Guess I just don't like how a fairly realistic and movie I liked turned into to over dramatized, unrealistic type thing. Plot idea, scenes and most everything seemingly to be way down.

If a lot of people like it that's fine too of course. Just how I feel. I didn't even watch this trailer, mostly cause I can't at the moment. I'm sure they are still pushing that unrealistic, over the top angle.

Would be interesting if they went back to the style of one with more serious ideas, racing and less world travel and super cop ideas.

I dunno. For all the love we give this franchise on GAF, if we're being honest, 7 was worse than 6 which was way worse than 5. So the series is on a downward trajectory.

I enjoyed 6 more than 5 tbh. The humor fell flat to me in 5, where 6 had incredible moments like Han and Roman trying to fight.

7 was a disappointment tho. There's real reason to be concerned.

5 has the better action set pieces, better location, and better villain.

The action is great whilst still being relatively believable

7 was shit but losing a main cast member probably didn't help. This one looks a little more grounded so hopefully the quality is closer to 5 which was excellent.

This will be the greatest film ever created. But yeah they'll need a hell of a reason for Dom to switch on the crew, a damn good reason. Especially since he's got government back up now. It's going to be some weird "I put bombs in their brains" thing isn't it.

I need another proper Statham/Rock face off. So good.

I really don't get anyone saying 7 was shit. It was close to 5 and 6. definitely far from shit.

Usual internet overreaction, if its not as good as something, its automatically shit lol.

I enjoyed 7 too, it wasn't quite as good as 5 but I thought it was on par with 6.

Fast to the FUR10US is going to involve time, not space.

After saving Jessie, Han, and Vince in the past and he's become an intergalactic outlaw, Dom is going to realize that the best way to protect his family is to leave for good. After agreeing to do one last quarter light-mile with Haley's Comet (which is actually Brian in his Supra), Dom rips through time and drifts around a black hole shooting him into another dimension.

He then crash lands on a dark, desolate planet where the title of the movie finally pans up
Origins of Riddick
I love this.

Honestly.... I want a MCU / Fast crossover. I want to see Thanos beaten by dudes in cars.

Even better and doable:

The Furious X Transformers

2 billion at the box office.

Dom drives Optimus at some point, you can have a joke at the end where the Rock shows up driving the smallest car but kicking ass and part of it can be set in space. Maybe the Autobots need humans to go to this space station to help them?

This is a good concept for a film after Vin Diesel has spent so much time going about family for 7 movies.

Also The Rock and Vin Diesel throwing each other through walls was hilarious in 5, so hoping for more fights like that.
I just hope the fight choreography/camerawork is as good as it was in 5. 7 was lacking in that regard. Probably because of the new director.

Im in cause of the rock, but Dom better have a good excuse to turn on them, after all this years of drinking for La familia he does this shit?

Right, exactly. As ridiculous as it is, turning his back on family when family has become such an integral part of this series, it doesn't make sense. It's incredibly week motivation when you consider the way the characters act.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the submarine jokes though.

"You know you owe me a 10 second submarine, right?"

"I live my life 20,000 leagues at a time. When I'm underwater, I'm free"

Probably just the basic fake heel turn under last-ditch circumstances. A smokescreen where he temporarily leads everyone to believe he's turned, only to save them all in the end.

Dom turned heel knowing the team would turn to statham and bust him out of jail. Then once out dom can kill him and take revenge for Han. Then he talks about avenging for family and how it was planned all along to take out the Statham family cause no one fucks with his family. And the family was in on it the whole time but had to play dumb for
Theron who is family with Statham.

Then the family get together and have a bqq while drinking coronas. At the end Kurt shows up and invite them to his government "family" and they get a special name like the expendables but called "the family". And of course they spend the next 3 to 4 installments going around saving the day for the CIA and eventually move on to fighting bad guys in space.

Thus the story of the greatest family of all time is told.
