If there's too many cases on the docket the solution is to hire more judges, not split the circuits, where you'll have the same amount of judges, and dockets.

The whole circuit system was invented so that a judge could do an actual physical travel circuit in a reasonable amount of time. It had less to do with case times. That notion is now obsolete with you know, planes.

I doubt the SCOTUS will take up this case unless lower courts hand out conflicting verdicts. I think the thing to remember here is that the Trump admin effectively wants the judiciary to kneecap itself and bow before him. Seriously, their argument was that the judiciary shouldn't be allowed to overrule the President because reasons. Even conservative justices aren't gonna go for that shit.

I'm not sure what this implies. Splitting the court does what exactly? Based on the fox news article, yes it would shrink. But what does this actually mean? This doesn't necessarily seem like the elimination of the court, correct?
