Fighting Games Weekly | Sept 2-8 | Pushing Society Forward

Daigo vs Infiltration
Xian vs Kazunoko
Ryan Hart vs Bonchan
Mago vs Fuudo
Tokido vs J Wong
Kayane vs Kamizono (SCV)

No clue on SCV, but it'd pretty cool to watch. What happened to the Tira player who won EVO?

Infiltration over Daigo since he's playing like a 14 year old Daigo, Xian over Kazunko is going to be close with whoever goes cray first, Bonchan since Ryan Hart usually cracks against Japanese players (him losing in a 5v5 and had headtostick for a couple minutes after losing), Mago since he's 2dgod, Tokido over Justin cause Akuma bodies Justin.

The "build a PC better than a PS4 for 400 dollars!" things confuse me the most. It's all the work of PC gaming for almost none of the advantages, because for 400 dollars it's a better idea to just let Sony do all the work for you and be set for the next 7 years.
Another extreme not worth talking about. Something like that is going to go out of date faster than a post-Wii Nintendo console.

Some history on the matches.

Daigo originally wanted to play Infiltration in a FT50. Of course, this was way too much. So after much back and forth/discussions, we all decided on a FT10.

Kazunoko VS Xian. They've had their run ins before. This should be a good one, but as time goes on Kazunoko will learn more and more about the matchup.

Bonchan vs Ryan Hart. Ryan has bested all the other Japanese sagat players already. This should be interesting.

Mago and Fuudo fought last time for Topanga TV. Mago won, convincingly showing he knows the matchup and Fuudo. Will Fuudo rise back?

That's all the feedback for now.

BTW, those exhibitions aren't all. That's just the beginning. I hope you guys enjoy Mad Catz Unveiled and our production at Tokyo Game Show. ;D

Please do a A Spooby Abroad series for when Spooky is in Japan.

If he hated Street Fighter because it's too complicated forever, I could understand. But he says he used to love it and now it sucks...for reasons that have pretty much always been in street fighter. *headscratch*

Also apparently EX3, a two character tag game with lots of crazy super cancels, is almost EXACTLY the same in gameplay as SF4. *headscratch*

Wait, is he suggesting that, instead of developing SFxT, they should have just made it an option in the SF4 menu? We're just ignoring that it's a tag game and has a good 25 completely different characters? *boggle*

This video is AMAZING

What other run ins have they had? The only one I've watched was the MM during Canada Cup where Kazunoko wins 5-0 or something.

I would pay money to watch a series of first to 50's with Daigo vs other Top Players.

Just remember this is probably only the beginning with Capcom Cup quals being held there also. Since Spooky is going I'm hoping that means a Twitch stream to coincide with the Nico Nico stream.

Shining Decopon who won EVO last year is still playing.

Here's some archives from a couple of days ago. Kayane is in Japan now playing with the Japanese SC community. You can see her play against Decopon and Kamichang, who is also the best Hilde player in the world and one of my favorite players to watch go at it.

I pretty much missed last week's thread. Anything cool happen? I saw a bit about making a fgc-gaf game. I can lend my imaginary programming talents to it. I've actually taken some classes

Even better, he's saying TxSF should be an option in the SFxT menu.

Yikes. Gonna skip that. Alabasta was tedious enough
Water 7, the arc whose developments start on 225, is really good though. Not only is the pacing nice and tight, the direction feels better as well. If you've seen Arabastia you've already seen much of the background you need for it anyway. Of course, there's also a thinly veiled recap arc that starts on 220.

Unfortunately, there's a part around ep 280 where it takes a 5 episode recap break as the show changed timeslots, lost some of its budget, and the pacing goes to shit.

Alright, I'll dive into that arc and maybe the previous recap eps when I go back into One Piece. Thanks for the help.

I think I'm about to drop $450 on a new capture card + RGB sync, and after only owning an LGP for maybe a couple months, if that.

I think I have a disease.

buy a next-gen console since both have built-in streaming features!

Xbone even comes packed with a high-quality webcam and probably an awful mic

Glad to see the right call was made on the title.

Any interesting FG news/events over PAX? I was mostly unplugged over the holiday weekend (other than following Mighty No. 9).

It may be contagious. Framemeister & Scart cable for my Genesis arrives tomorrow. Already putting together wish list to RGB mod my NES and will likely attempt a DIY RGB mod of a SNES mini soon.

So psyched. From what I've seen even composite inputs look great through a FM.
