I think we're gonna see the Daigoat again.
Ryan Hart is good, not great.
Xian vs Kazunoko will be close.
Mago vs Fuudo is as a coin toss imo.
Tokido will body Justin fray.

m picks

Really want Daigo to win against Infiltration.

Fuudo generally does better in tournaments than Mago these days but Mago seems to have the upper hand when they play against each other, so dunno.

Justin knows that counter to Akuma's kick super that punishes the EX Messiah but other than that Tokido seems like the easy choice.

saltybet, please set up a special betting page for these exhibition matches. this is what the fgc really needs right now.

I want to believe in Daigo... I really want to believe.

I want to believe in Daigo... I really want to believe.

Could be just me but one thing that I noticed is that Daigo seems to have an alternate style of play that is very effective against Akuma (both Infiltration's and Tokido's) but he can't keep it up for long.

At some point he cracks and reverts back to his old style of throwing bad fireballs and eating jump-ins.

If he can keep it up and do what he did against Xian (where his defense especially was very strong) then he has a chance I think.

• DaiGOAT
• Ryan Hart can't count games so Bonchan can pace himself better
• 0-5 for the ultimate blow up, also Kazunoko is super fun to watch because of his overwhelming aggression
• Fuudo makes me fall asleep less, also has inferior hair
• Tokido also has superior hair, is more fun to watch, doesn't play Rufus, etc.

forgive the repost, i need advice.

what's the best stick for $70-$100? maybe $130 max. i'm a hardcore pc player, i want a new quality stick out of the box with 8 buttons that's easily modifiable in case shit breaks down.

will be playing sfiv up to and well beyond ultra, kof, maybe skullgirls and others.

any madcatz deals coming up? perhaps a new line of sticks?

Next weekend there's a good shot of a sale on TE's, you should be able to find an older model TE for 100 at that time.

This thread should give you all the advice you need.

Why is new twitch so dumb? Everyone said they were having problems with Chris G's stream the other day yet it was running pretty smooth for me at source resolution. For other streams it varies really heavily for me too.

Also why did they switch 240p, 360p etc. to "Low," "Medium," etc? People have been using YouTube for years, they're not idiots and your average person can probably gauge the resolution their computer/internet can sustain better than what these new descriptors, unless they're using this to hide real, bandwidth saving resolutions or something. /tinfoilhat

Honestly, I'd be OK with twitch moving to a PPV/subscription model for big events and popular channels if it meant I could get a high quality stream. If I'm actually gonna sit down and match sp00ky stream a major or spend a entire week watching dozens of hours of Dota 2, I want it to be crisp as fuck and I'm willing to pay. I'm not sure if that's what they're going for, but clearly just letting everyone ride it out on max doesn't seem to be working out.

I have to vouch for TEs. Like others said, you'll be able to snag one under $130 somewhere at some point, without too much waiting for deal-finding. I got mine with shipping for $100 over 3 years ago and it's still in fantastic shape. I did replace the buttons and stick, but that's nothing considering how much I and my friends used and abused that thing.

Tokido kind of thwarts Justin just in terms of how he plays, but Akuma-Rufus is bad.

If Justin would seriously grind out his Adon, maybe I'd give him better odds.

Yeah I definitely think majors should consider that or Twitch should offer the option for event subs (if they don't already) like for EVO instead of just subbing to the channel of whoever is streaming.

Majors could start out with something small like $3 subs and scale up accordingly. For something like that, I might actually pay for something on Twitch to support.

I think it'd be interesting to see the numbers with that stuff going forward. How many people subscribed for EVO this year? View counts are one thing, but if you can demonstrate to advertisers and sponsors that a good amount of people actually PAID to watch this stuff I think that might be nice.

You'll kill it if you charge for it. Folks won't pay just to watch a stream.

Would do the community more harm than good in the long run.

I think people would for say, HD, reliable streams. A PPV option can be layered on top of a free feed. You could have a man running around with a camera, a saltycam, etc. Variety content that doesn't disrupt the core viewing experience.

Too bad that can't even be a 100% guarantee sometimes.

I would pay for a mobile saltycam. Esp. if Arturo was put in charge of it.

I'd love to see that come back. More entertainment for us and more CPM for Art? Let's do it.

PPV won't work for the fgc. The FGC is trying to get NEW people in. You don't encourage new people coming in by putting the big events behind a paywall.

Look at LoL and SC2 and Dota 2. None of its ppv. MLG was but they started to be more lax'd about it (probably realize people won't pay for that shit.). Hype events draw in attention, and by drawing attention you have a higher chance of people coming into the scene.

You can have a subscribe feature, but layer that with incentives such as raffles, giveaways, or whatever. Do those to encourage people to subscribe and watch.

Is that a shots fired at Gods Beard? I remember seeing his post with that picture or something.

Lol people picking Daigo.

thank you, i'm not the only one thinking this.

Daigo is a beast, as SF god. He can go toe to toe with anyone and you won't know who will come out on top.

But Infiltration is Daigo's Moriarty. Infiltration studies and has notes on everyone, but you can bet your ass he has an encyclopedia on Daigo. He has spent hours studying his films, his style, his mannerisms.

I know a few people in mind that can beat infiltration for sure outside of his Hakan mind games, and Daigo is NOT one of them.

Daigo in long sets is a different daigo then in 2/3 or 3/5 matches.

Im not saying daigo would win straight up but I think it will be close in terms matches. Maybe not like 9-10/10-9.

Knowing Nicalis, probably not!
Knowing Nicalis, it'll come out, in 2015, at a version lower than the current 1.4 version. Also, while the commentator was indeed put into the game data they will forget to code in a way to access it. This will go unpatched when they update the game to 1.4.

You'll kill it if you charge for it. Folks won't pay just to watch a stream.

Would do the community more harm than good in the long run.

I think GSL runs both for Starcraft 2. A low quality feed is available if you watch it live while a high quality feed and the archives are only available to the subscribers.
