For me, Lightning is THE FFXIII character. She's iconic and purposely designed to be the "main character" as it were. I can completely understand if you dont find her as attractive as Fang or Snow or whoever but I'm pretty sure she has the corner on "totally awesome." There's a very good reason she's the character chosen for the special edition PS3 and the face of FFXIII. As it's been hinted at in some of the trailers it is she who ultimately has the power to save the day this time around.
So yeah, feel free to create your Team Hotness or whatever works for you but for me it's always going to be all about Lightning. I think she's awesome!

Well knowing that i will ultimately be disappointed by the lack of depth of all the characters (already prepping my rants), i base it only on the characters designs.
As I happen to really dislike Lightning's...

The rings on that summon look terrible in game, literally like hexagons, I wish they removed them or replaced them with something else. All they do at the moment is take away from the character, they add nothing.

But at some point in the game she realizes she hadn't grown up as much as she thought and was hurting Serah more than protecting her. Long story short it ain't her real name and her real name probably shows up during the scene where she's talking to Hope or at the end of the game.

Because chances are if you're on the official Xbox website and participate in the contest you're getting the 360 version(though I suppose multi-plat owners could just want the gift and buy it for the PS3 anyway).

one of the things i enjoyed about FF XII was how new everything looked to me since i didn't hangout in the Official thread or didn't watched too much trailers etc.
i was not totally media blackout but i didn't follow it heavily. I think i will enjoy this game more than you guys :lol

hey, FF XII took longer than this and i was like ''whatever'' whenever a new media or information hits. to be honest when i played FFXII is was WTF i don't know what Gambit or License system is and i have enjoyed it more.
