my wallet. it's already dead..

Has any other information been released yet regarding framerate etc? haven't been keeping up.

Also looking at the steam page it doesn't list controller support....usually they do the whole try with big picture mode thing but there's nothing :S

They also didn't put cards in the quick icon list and those were in the press release.

In the recommend settings, it lists xinput as the preferred control method.

I can guarantee you it'll have controller support in much the same way I can guarantee you that if you were to stand outside right at this very moment a grand piano won't fall from the sky and crush you, which is to say that no controller support is possible insofar that there are no tangible forces at work that would render it impossible, however this coming to fruition is exceedingly unlikely. ;)

Ah I Didn't read it that was my bad! least it's there!

Heh :P *insert top gear piano crushing here* reason I asked is cause I got burned with Mass effect having no controller support which made no sense either.

Wow really? Just wait till it happens to you too and see if you joke about it anymore.

Do we have any actual news on gameplay changes/enhancement and/or graphical options?

Graphical option is not a big deal, you can already hope for resolution (720p/1880p/1440p) and few things like AA, fps limit option, etc...

Gameplay? Hmm, 30/60fps, at least. Looking at the price, dont expect fancy shit, modders gonna bring what we deserve.

Considering the XIII games were developed on a pc, well enough
You could say that about Dead Rising 3 as well (CAPCOM has more PC experience too!), but that doesn't automatically mean that this will run perfectly. If someone has any reservations at all they should always wait until the game's release until buying. Personally, it's only $15, I'll take the risk. Although, I certainly wouldn't be doing that if they were asking $40/50 for the game.

Capcom Vancouver isn't the same as Capcom (it would be like saying "tomb raider and hitman ran well on PC, so FFXIII will probably too!). Also, Dead Rising 3 ran badly on the Xbox One, whereas FFXIII was really good on PS3.

And out of those only Lords of Fallen is kind of on my radar. Backlog time.

The performance of FF13 on the PS3 is absolutely no indicator of the how the game will peform on PC. They aren't even remotely alike. Now that said I think it's a safe bet too, but the point still stands. If a person is unsure about the quality of a port it's always better to wait.

I'm all in! This is one of the things I like showing off the most on the net.

I prefer Hillis too, though I think Maaya did better at LR.

The quote from Kitase means nothing. Running an early build of a game on PC doesn't automatically guarantee a good port 4+ years later.

However, we can hope for the best because logically they would want to run as many instances as possible on a single server for their Dive In cloud streaming thing.

is that pretty much asked for a computer?

i dont know how far fetched these requirements are compared to a computer from 4 years ago.
In terms of CPU and GPU requirements, they're incredibly similar to a decent-but-affordable PC I got 4 years ago (and am still using but with a newer GPU).

EDIT: Correction--I see now those are the RECOMMENDED specs, not the minimum requirements. So even a decent PC from 4 years ago is waaay above the minimum.

It's not a mistake, the image is just cut off. Here's the full thing:

Basically the same thing as the Steam page but with more clarification. Humble also detects your region on the store before selling you anything.
Grrr just include the option to play it in whatever language you want. Make us download extra Japanese voices like Lightning Returns if you have to.

I'm guessing licensing and laziness played equal parts in this. I'm sure the modding community won't disappoint on this front though.

Currently finishing FFX in Japanese with English subtitles and loving it.

It's no indicator of how well-optimized the PC build will be, but if it can run as well as it does on a PS3, it would take an astoundingly bad port for it to not run "pretty smoothly" on a reasonably modern PC.

Pre-ordered this and TEW. This should tide me over till TEW drops on the 14th.

I've lambasted SE and Lightning into Orion, but today I bite my tongue and admit I will buy it at a LOW price of 14 bones.

I wish they gave us more details, I'll end up getting it anyway but still would like to hear more specifics.

I just gotta see this shit personally on PC. The game was straight up gorgeous.

Big dedicated screenshot folder incoming.

i honestly feel pretty confident. the PC version HAS to be optimized for the sake of Dive In. since the code is already somewhat there, it's not like they're porting from a console version

imagine the Backgrounds...

O.O

Nice price. I don't think it will get cheaper during a Steam Sale, but I'm ok with playing the waiting game on this one. My backlog is enormous so this huge RPG can wait for now.

imagine the high res mod that might come after a while

Lightning Returns, then!

I could see it working out for some of the garbs, such as the nightmare one... :/

But it's not like you couldn't already recolor it to match her skin tone

Take in mind there isn't actually a Lightning model which the clothes are put on, each outfit is a model on it's own.

It means more than nothing, but yea, not a guarantee of anything.
