Zoe said:How are PS3 movie files handled with regards to the audio? Is the audio kept separate?
In other words, will the audio during the 360's movie files be worse off than real time audio?

Well, the PS3 version uses uncompressed audio, the 360 version does not, so the PS3 will have higher quality audio. I don't know what you mean by "kept separate" or "real time audio" though.Zoe said:Anyone?

They've still not shown any substantial footage of 360 version to the world yet have they? I mean in a trailer or developer walkthrough etc - if they did that now it would put the whole screenshot debacle to rest because it'll no doubt look great in motionVamphuntr said:It might be best to ignore it than to try damage control at this point. What can he say really? The best he could do is post a HD resolution video of the game running to see how well it fares.

Oh. I'm not sure, to be honest. Generally speaking it ought to be totally separate, I would think... and if it's anything like FFX there'll be sound mixing overlaid over the FMVs for easy transitions anyway.Zoe said:Does the Bink compression affect audio as well, or is that something that could have been compressed separately along with the rest of the audio in the game?

I am sure the 360 port will be perfectly playable for those without a PS3. Not sure why those of us with both systems care which one is the better version as long as we know which one to get.
Hey - ME2 required disc swaps even when both discs were installed to the HDD...will this one too? That would suck...

At least it's less likely that FF13 360 will have you swap to previous discs like ME2 does, though.Ned said:Hey - ME2 required disc swaps even when both discs were installed to the HDD...will this one too? That would suck...

But (I know off topic) how is that a problem, you do it twice..in 30 hours, not every 10 minutes.Ned said:Seems odd to have the option to install but still need the disc flip. Pissed me off a little in ME2 (more because I didn't expect it than it was a real problem).

Ned said:Really? I could have sworn either Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon didn't need the flip when installed...I must have been mistaken.

All Xbox 360 games that are installed on the HDD, through the dashboard recquire the specific disc in the disc drive.
LiK said:they needed it
Ned said:Huh. I wonder why it doesn't just verify that you have one of the original discs in there but run all content off the HDD.
Is it just so if it is installed on 3 different units it won't run off all three discs? If so why not just tag it so you install all three but must have disc 1 in to play...

Ned said:Yes I know for one disc games it still need the disc - I just am surprised that multi disc games still need disc swaps when even all are installed.
No big deal - when I had to disc flip ME2 it just surprised me is all.

Yeah it's funny they are being questioned now. The game started and was optimized for PS3. PS3 it is for me and if you only have a 360 then enjoy the game and stay away from this thread.Zophar said:I guess DigitalFoundry is only good enough 95% of the time :lol
