Calling it now, if we get a Bahamut boss fight, it's going to be one, if not the, best setpieces of the generation.

Tabata was asked this directly and refused to answer the question, for what that's worth. He did also say in the past, though, that the number of summons in the game is something fans may think is underwhelming.

There are one or two summons who appear in the "Big Bang" artwork for FFXV that are not mentioned in the Cosmogony book.

I had no interest in the game in its previous form - the graphics seemed off and the demo I played originally didn't have the best frame-rate, but this video makes it seem downright fun.
Depending on how the game reviews I may have to pick it up - I wonder what the PS4 Pro improvements will be....

This looks so much better, but that English dub is so bad. Still day one, though.
I like how Prompto keeps his cool after getting an elbow to the face
It looks hilarious, but it's also quite amazing how the physics actually do work during scripted animations. Ignis' arm didn't simply clip through Prompto's model, but it actually pushed it.
Animations in general in this game are up there with Naughty Dog's.

I like the voice acting, I don't think I could play a whole game like this with Japanese voice acting.

Unlike the majority of female models in gaming, Nyx is actually based on a real model via nude scanning. So yes, fantasy based on reality, unlike the pornstar proportions of Cindy.

The characters just sound unnatural and forced, the accents sound borderline satirical to me.
We haven't seen any in-game swimming so far. However, we saw a small brief scene of Noctis swimming during one of the technical demos. So we still don't know if we'll be able to swim, or if it will be only during certain scenes, or if it was removed completely.
Yea same here. I was in the same boat as everyone else when we first heard the English VA. But after a few years of listening to them talk I got really used to it. I'll probably play it with the JP VA on my second playthrough.
The body itself might have been 3D scanned, but the way the fabric clings is completely unnatural and immersion-breaking - if they're going for verisimilitude, it's just poorly implemented. Shorts don't look like body paint.
Meanwhile, while you might have problems with how Cindy is dressed (and with women who share her body type), her body and costume are much closer to reality in terms of physical representation - you'd find a cosplayer looking much the same as the ingame character in a replica of her outfit, while a Nyx cosplayer would need a prosthetic ass.

Yeah, and didn't Tabata say this game was going to have a small summon roster? That list is pretty basic and has all the classic summons covered with the exception of Odin. Toss in Odin and Chocobo and you basically have FFIII's summon list. At least all the classics(including Ramuh and Titan, other Thunder and Earth elemental summons need not apply) are there.

I didn't realise the summons all had semi-titles. 'Bahamut, the Draconian' sounds badass. Some of the others are a bit less dramatic.
Like the Nyx ass situation, Cindy's breasts don't really sit right, either. A Cindy cosplayer would be needing a bikini top that magically doubles as a heavy-duty push up bra, her breasts sit up a tad too high and far too close together. A great push-up bra will do that, but a bikini top like Cindy wears wouldn't. (A true fantasy based on reality.) I do appreciate Square at least trying in the male fan-service department, though, even though there is a bit of a creepy muscle vertical ass stretch whenever Nyx or Gladio bend over. Cindy's ass seems to have been saved from a weird stretchy fate.

I kinda get what you're trying to say, i guess, but uhh...
1. Cindy's "proportions" aren't as egregious as you make them out to be. Her breasts aren't overtly large, just perky. She's also not just thin either, there's some abdominal toning that can be seen slightly.
2. Using "pornstar" as a euphemism for "large breasted and thin" speaks volumes about what you know about pornography. Considering the shear amount of kinks, fetishes, etc that go into porn, a "pornstar proportion" is only able to be attributed to any specific kink. Thin, curvy, large, big breasted, petit, black, white, asian, etc.
3. I didn't know that pornstars weren't real! It kinda feels like you're slut-shaming woman of Cindy's body type (which isn't a faux-body type unlike say, Ivy from soul caliber) by comparing it to that of a pornstar in such a negative tone. I honestly don't think that's what you were going for, though.
That said, I still don't like Cindy's outfit. Never will. But i'll deal with it and look past it.

Not saying her costume is realistic within the setting, just that it's a better representation of someone wearing a 'sexy mechanic' Halloween costume than Nyx's physics-defying ass is of an actual person's. Do you have actual visual examples on hand of men's butts that can retain that shape through fabric?
Well, it isn't exactly comparable in the size department, and I'd imagine there'd be a lot more attention given to making sure it doesn't warp compared to Gladiolus and Nyx, since the sex appeal is central to her design while a more secondary element for the former two. Maybe they need to invest in a more comprehensive soft-body physics implementation next time.

Another FF thread devolved into Cindy controversy. Tsk tsk. Such a small portion of the game. Everyone has a right to be upset for whatever, but it's going to be so irrelevant in-game it's just trivial to me.
