Same here.Ramenman said:I don't care about the updates, I'd buy that even if it only allowed me to play No More Heroes US :lol
Jocchan said:There's no firmware update in No More Heroes, right?
Thanks for the good news, good sir.Fenix said:Not as far as I can remember.
Thomper said:Any place to buy this right now besides Codejunkies/Datel? Don't have a creditcard, but I do have Paypal.
Darkflight said:Awesome, I'll be able to play Tales of Symphonia again and not wait fricking ages for Smash Bros. (Side note, do GC games on the wii need a GC controller and a GC memory card? or does it save to the Wii?)
Nice, but I expect this to be blocked in no time flat. Just get the US Wii, it's still the only way to get the superior versions of VC games anyway!
I don't think so, otherwise it wouldn't have said "Any Wii" since they needed a different Freeloader for every region.Nuclear Muffin said:Nice, but I expect this to be blocked in no time flat. Just get the US Wii, it's still the only way to get the superior versions of VC games anyway!
Play ANY region of Wii or GameCube game on ANY Wii.Tiduz said:o hay guyz
What if the freeloader disc itself is region locked for USA and has no EU date yet? :x

pal user?Great, i hope it work!Kibbles said:Why are you guys so excited for being able to play import games?
If you live in Europe and know of how useless Nintendo are at getting games out here, then you should be able to understand. What's more, PAL games cost more than NTSC ones.Kibbles said:Why are you guys so excited for being able to play import games?
Ah, good for them!Fenix said:It's more for Europe, where NoE constantly fucks them with huge delays of high profile games.
Seriously, I'm not even in Pal land and I'm happy for them.Kibbles said:Why are you guys so excited for being able to play import games?
Seriously, US games are way, way cheaper. I recently imported Phoenix Wright 3, Apollo Justice, and Professor Layton for what came down to an average cost of about 20-22 euro's per game. None of these three games have been released here yet, and if they would have been, they would have cost about 40 euro's in stores. Being able to get the same savings on Wii games would be incredible.Gagaman said:If you live in Europe and know of how useless Nintendo are at getting games out here, then you should be able to understand. The 'GameCube Freeloader for Wii' released a while back was blocked by a firmware update.legend166 said:I don't think Nintendo will actively try and stop this. Atleast, I hope not. They could have stopped the GameCube Freeloader pretty easily with a cease and desist letter to Datel, but they didn't. So I have hope.
About the US/PAL Firmware issue - I remember when I was reseaching getting a modchip for imports, people were saying that as long as you had the most recent firmware, it didn't matter. Is this right?

But they ship it on 14 March according to their site.broadwayrock said:Gameseek has cheaper postage so it works out as £11.98 delivered.
I'm pretty sure that CodeJunkies is like the retail/sales arm of Datel.Visualante said:Someone should just call up Datel and see what the skinny is on this. They can't be that hard to get hold of.

In case any Aussies haven't noticed, the exchange rate is freakin' awesome right now: AUD$1:USD$0.946. I think just yesterday it was $0.92.
I've been wanting to take advantage but there's nothing coming out just right at this minute on 360. However, with this news maybe some Wii games will be a go.
www.cduniverse.com is where I've been getting lots of imports this gen for anyone interested.
